June 6th: the Sun and Venus are in parallel and at 30° from Vesta. After the much publicized transit of Venus across the solar disk, which is actually an ecliptic conjunction (the technical term), Venus and the Sun form a parallel of declination. This means they are at the same distance from the celestial equator, the circle that divides the celestial sphere in two ... This is a significant alignment, perhaps more than the conjunction, although visually it does not constitute a show. But the effects can be felt strongly too!  

     The parallel Sun/Venus includes the Dumbbell Nebula (M27), located in the constellation Vulpecula and it is a star in the final stages of its life. M27 is ejecting its atmosphere into space through its two poles, giving it the appearance of the fresh remains of an apple. However, the trend is not as sweet as apple juice: the central star is extremely hot (85,000 degrees Kelvin!). This corresponds with extremist ideological tendencies and an opinionated mind.  

     The parallel Sun/Venus/M27 thus indicates the possibility of getting caught by extremist ideas, whether scientific, religious, political or artistic ... This can result in heavy fighting and discussions, that basically are looking to reach a middle ground, to find some objectivity. The harmony implicit in the combination Sun/Venus can help to moderate things, but the effort has to be for the sake of knowledge and not through trying to impose our own points of view, as wonderful as they might be. As most people are not aware of this, we will witness in various parts of the world, titanic duels between political opponents, religious clashes, students vs. government, an so on. On the other hand, this combination can give very positive results at an artistic and scientific level, and therefore great performances and interesting news in both fields are expected.  

     At a personal level, the combination Sun/Venus/M27 strongly emphasizes desire, sexuality, personal emotions, so the high temperature of M27 can make us boil inside... Venus is too very hot, as it retains almost all the heat that it gets from the Sun beneath its dense atmosphere. As we cannot avoid feeling a strong impulse at this level, the best solution is to channel it positively through a positive emotional expression, but above all, creating beauty, harmony around us, in our relationships and our work with the elements we have at our disposal. Trying to impose our own  idea of harmony would be absurd!  What we have in front of us is the material available to have positive connections with friends, family, family, colleagues, acquaintances... Don't look further! Artistic creations will be most favored by this combination and the best channel for this energy, so we do not get swept by it, but catapulted instead to reach our goals and have achievements.

     Do not let your ideas take precedence over reality! Harmony must prevail or we will get exactly the opposite... Maintaining peace and integrity is the humble contribution of the asteroid Vesta at 30° of this incandescent trio... (Vesta is also symbolized by fire, but as an icon of spiritual inner peace, like a candle).

     Finally, Mercury is at 30° from Jupiter, which emphasizes the need to adjust to different ideas. This also encourages trade, sales, distribution, advertising, exchange, travel and promises a relatively flowing daily life in general if you have some flexibility.

¿Would you join Venus in her retrograde trip in the sky?





May 16th, 2012 .... Venus begins its retrograde period conjunct the Crab Nebula (M1), indicating drastic changes in relationships, also in the art world. Around this day, the stock markets had a hard time worldwide! However, some relationships and budgets got boosted instead. Caution is needed not to expose personal feelings too much and to avoid excessive spending.

May 30th, 2012... Venus conjuncts star cluster M79, which is an immigrant from another galaxy the Milky Way has absorbed in the recent cosmic past. This helps social integration, making it possible to iron out differences, to resolve conflicts, to learn more about the people around us. A diplomatic attitude should be considered. The trend is excellent for meetings of any kind and reconciliation.

June 1st, 2012 ... Venus makes a parallel of declination to the Pleiades star cluster (M45), giving strength to new ideas, bringing an idealistic motivation, honesty in relationships and insight ... On the other hand, this trend accelerates the pace of circumstances and projects. This can put a lot of pressure on relationships. Stress should be avoided; we must let things find out their natural rhythm by themselves. In that way, we'll harmonize better with others and with our projects.

June 5th, 2012 .... Venus passes across the disk of the Sun in a very rare event that won't repeat itself in more than a century. This "eclipse of Venus" happens aligned in opposition to the Butterfly Nebula. This nebula is in fact a dying double star system in the constellation Ophiuchus, which produces a beautiful double-lobed nebula around it. This event represents a unique, very particular opportunity to interact creatively with others, whether it is emotional, sexual, artistic, in friendship, business or work. It is a great moment for creating beauty, alone or with others, in all of its forms. However, we may need to consider how the actions or demands of one person can deplete the other person's (or many) energy and resources...


June 7th, 2012... Venus emphasizes idealism in parallel to the Dumbbell Nebula (M27), and can stimulate communication between like-minded people, at least intellectually. This combination promotes objectivity amid somewhat extremist tendencies. It is excelent for research, study, meditation, spirituality, and connecting with the universe in any way. But it can also represent arguments between people with different opinions, ideals or education.

June 8/9th, 2012 ... Venus makes a parallel with the Crab Nebula (M1), the supernova explosion with which it began its retrograde period. It is possible that it will reinforce the same trends of June 15/16th. It can have an effect on art, relationships, finances, which might experience changes. However, this transit is very fast and such a strong effect is not expected or at least not as deep as with its retrograde station.

June 10th, 2012... Venus makes a parallel with the famous Black Eye Galaxy (M64). This represents an harmonic contact with people who think differently, so we can have many positive exchanges. Integration will be easier, so we need to have an attitude of acceptance. Rejection will only deepen old wounds and create more practical problems between people.

June 12th, 2012 ... Venus makes a parallel with the Eskimo Nebula, a planetary nebula or dying star in the constellation Gemini. The tendency is to emphasize idealism and the higher mind, particulary in the exchange with like-minded people. This is great for studying, research, broadcasting, meditation. It is important to not to let ourselves be swayed by extremist attitudes. Avoid discussions of controversial topics, as they may cause discomfort and end up deteriorating relationships.

June 17th, 2012 ... Venus makes a parallel with the Beehive Cluster, or M44, stimulating strongly the need for expression at all levels. This is ideal to create and promote shows, to generate artistic creativity, to express feelings, ideas and demonstrate our skills to everyone. What must be avoided is the tendency to grab too much attention from others, to represent an annoyance to others, and to exaggerate emotions.

June 20th, 2012 ... Venus makes a parallel to M71, which can represent a good performance in the financial and material plane. It is an excellent time for shopping, for doing major investments, for promoting business and valuable exchanges, and to raise self-esteem in psychological terms. It is necessary to see that  gains are not lost with the same speed with which they come; avoid excessive or unnecessary expenses and do save.

 June 24/25th, 2012 ... Venus in parallel to star cluster M53 and the galaxy M85 indicate very good opportunities for exchange. We must participate in the social arena, this is not a moment to stay in isolation, otherwise opportunities will not materialize. It is important to learn to give as much as to receive.


June 28th, 2012 ... Venus ends its retrograde station going direct, resuming its forward motion in the zodiac, in conjunction to the Hyades cluster in the constellation Taurus. It is a time to express emotions, so you have to find the appropriate channel, probably through artistic creativity, in a relationship or as a public of great artistic creations. It also stimulates much romance and sexuality, so you have to take the necessary measures to enjoy it as well as to manage emotions with caution...

July 6th, 2012 ..... Although Venus has resumed its direct motion 9 days before, this time is actually a direct station on declination. Venus resumes its movement north, changing direction at the declination of the Geminga supernova. We can expect around this time strong, intense events and changes in relationships, art, finance, similar to those seen on May 15/16th and June 8/9th. ¿Acompañas a Venus en su viaje retrógrado por el firmamento?


16 de Mayo 2012 .... Venus inicia su período de retrogradación en conjunción a la Nebulosa del Cangrejo, indicando cambios drásticos en las relaciones, en el mundo del arte. Sin embargo, también puede impulsar fuertemente algunas relaciones y presupuestos. En esos días, la estación de Venus bajó fuertemente los índices en las Bolsas alrededor del mundo... Hay que tener precaución en los gastos y no exponer demasiado los sentimientos personales.

30 de Mayo 2012...  Venus hace conjunción con el cúmulo estelar M79, que es un inmigrante de otra galaxia que la Vía Láctea ha absorbido en el pasado reciente. Esto favorece la integración social, por lo que es posible limar asperezas, solucionar conflictos, conocer mejor a la gente que nos rodea, buscando la convivencia. Conviene manifestar una actitud diplomática. Favorece encuentros, reconciliaciones.

1° de junio 2012... Venus hace un paralelo de declinación con el cúmulo estelar de las Pléyades (M45), reforzando las ideas nuevas, la motivación idealista, la sinceridad y la introspección...Por otro lado, acelera el ritmo de las circunstancias, de los proyectos y por ello puede presionar mucho las relaciones. Hay que evitar pues el estrés y dejar que las cosas sigan su ritmo natural, de ese modo armonizaremos mejor con los demás y con nuestros proyectos.

5 de Junio 2012....Venus pasa enfrente del disco del Sol en un evento  muy raro y que no se repetirá en más de un siglo. Este "eclipse de Venus" sucede alineado a la Nebulosa de la Mariposa, un sistema estelar doble agonizante en la constelación de Ofiuco y que produce una hermosa nebulosa a su alrededor.  Representa una oportunidad única o muy particular de interactuar creativamente con otras personas en el plano afectivo,sexual, artístico, amistoso, de los negocios o de trabajo. Es un momento para crear belleza, de muchas maneras, con los demás, y en nuestro entorno... Sin embargo, es posible que haya que considerar hasta cuánto las acciones o demandas de una persona pueden mermar la energía y los recursos de la otra... o de otros.


7 de Junio 2012... Venus enfatiza el idealismo en paralelo a la Nebulosa de la Manzana (M27), y puede favorecer la comunicación entre personas afines intelectualmente, pues estimula la objetividad en medio de tendencias un tanto extremistas. Favorece la investigación, el estudio, la meditación, la espiritualidad, la conexión con el universo. Puede provocar discusiones entre personas con opiniones, ideales o educación diferentes.

8/9 de junio 2012... Venus hace un paralelo con la Nebulosa del Cangrejo, la supernova con la que inició su período de retrogradación. Es posible que refuerze las mismas tendencias del 15/16 de Junio. Puede tener un efecto fuerte sobre el arte, las relaciones, la economía en general. Sin embargo, su tránsito es muy rápido y no es de esperarse un efecto tan intenso o tan profundo como en su estación retrógrada pues es más pasajero.

10 de junio 2012...Venus hace un paralelo con la famosa Galaxia del Ojo Negro (M64). Esto representa el contacto armónico con personas que piensan diferente, pero con las que podemos tener un intercambio positivo. Es conveniente pues buscar integración y tener una actitud de aceptación. El rechazo sólo ahondará más los problemas prácticos y entre la gente.

12 de Junio 2012... Venus hace un paralelo con la Nebulosa del Eskimal, una nebulosa planetaria o estrella agonizante en la constelación de Géminis. La tendencia es a reforzar el idealismo y la mente superior en el intercambio con personas afines. Esto es excelente para estudiar, investigar, difundir, meditar. Es importante no dejarse llevar por actitudes extremistas y evitar discusiones por temas polémicos, ya que pueden provocar molestias y terminar deteriorando las relaciones.

17 de junio 2012... Venus hace un paralelo con el Cúmulo del Panal o M44, estimulando fuertemente la necesidad de expresión a todos los niveles. Es ideal para realizar y promover espectáculos, para generar creatividad artística, expresar los sentimientos, las ideas y demostrar nuestras habilidades a todo el mundo. Lo que es necesario evitar es la tendencia a acaparar la atención de los demás, a manifestarse de una manera molesta para otros, y a exagerar los sentimientos.

20 de junio 2012... Venus hace un paralelo a M71, lo que puede representar buenos resultados en el plano financiero y material. Es un excelente momento para hacer compras, inversiones importantes, promover negocios y realizar intercambios valiosos, así como para subir la autoestima en el plano psicológico. Es necesario cuidar de que lo ganado no se pierda con la misma velocidad con la que llega, evitando gastos excesivos o innecesarios y ahorrar.

24/25 de Junio 2012... Venus en paralelo al cúmulo estelar M53 y a la galaxia M85, indican muy buenas oportunidades de intercambio. Es preciso participar y no aislarse, de otro modo las oportunidades no se materializarán. Es importante para aprender a dar tanto como a recibir.


28 de Junio 2012... Venus termina su retrogradación haciendo su estación directa, retomando su movimiento hacia adelante en el zodiaco, en conjunción al cúmulo de las Híades. Es un momento para expresar las emociones, por lo que hay que buscar el canal adecuado, probablemente a través de manifestaciones artísticas o como espectador.También estimula mucho el romance y la sexualidad, por lo que hay que tomar las medidas necesarias tanto para disfrutar como para cuidarse y manejar las emociones con precaución..

6 de Julio 2012..... Aunque Venus ya ha retomado su movimiento directo 9 días antes, este momento es en sí una estación directa en declinación. Venus retoma su movimiento hacia el norte, deteniéndose en la declinación de la supernova Geminga. Alrededor de esta fecha son de esperarse eventos fuertes e intensos en las relaciones, el arte, las finanzas, parecidos a los ocurridos en los días 15/16 de Mayo y 8/9 de Junio. June 5th: Venus transits the solar disk in ecliptic opposition to the Butterfly Nebula (M2-9), exposing our level of harmony, the quality of our relationships and the gaps we need to fill

June 5th: Venus transits the solar disk, creating a unique visual event for observers on Earth, as it won't happen again in morre than a century. The astrological interpretation is similar to that of a regular eclipse, because there is a relative alignment between the Sun, Earth and Venus in a straight line. This is interpreted as a combination of the principles associated with the Sun and Venus, so it is expected that this event will be expressed through the areas of our lives related to the combination of both celestial bodies. These areas are expression of affection, romance and sexuality, social relationships, artistic creativity, finances and self-esteem. The combination Sun/Venus is often seen as something very positive because both celestial bodies symbolize vitality, beauty, creativity, love and harmony.

The Venus transit through the solar disk is a very rare event, although their ecliptic conjunctions and parallels of declination happen regularly every year. The Venus/Sun combination suggests the following topics: affection, harmony, self-esteem, love, crativity, beauty, finance, amog others.

         Sun/Venus combinations are relatively common and occur by ecliptic conjunction and parallel of declination about four times a year, so they are not really exceptional. What is exceptional is that Venus passes directly by the solar disk as seen from Earth. From our point of view it is as if Venus would underline, more than ever, through the marker of its silhouette, the "solar will". This is because the Sun is the engine of our physical life and the center of our psychological and spiritual identity . Therefore, it is important to know what this will consists of, and how we can manifest it in our lives in the areas mentioned above. The combined Sun/Venus symbolism suggest the following topics: love, harmony, self-esteem, love, creativity, beauty, art and finance, among other, as the workplace for this eclipse.

        Of course, part of the solar will has to do with the development of love, affection, beauty, art and self esteem in our lives. But actually, this happens every time the Sun and Venus interact! The uniqueness of this event is the ecliptic alignment in opposition to an little known deep space object, called the Butterfly Nebula (M2-9), located in the constellation Ophiuchus. This nebula, which also has a striking and colorful bipolar shape, resembling the wings of a butterfly, is actually a dying star that has exhausted its fuel and is expulsing its matter into space, in an ultimate recycling process. While planetary nebulae represent the death of a star, the process is usually very interesting, and each one has its own particular characteristics.The "eclipse of Venus" is not technically an occultation of Venus, but an alignment, in a more or less straight line, of the Sun, Venus, Earth and the Butterfly Nebula (M2-9). The significance of the eclipse must include all these heavenly bodies.

     The interesting thing about the Butterfly Nebula is that it is a double system. The biggest star of the pair already reached the end of its life and is being contracted into a white dwarf star, having expelled most of its atmosphere into space. Its companion, smaller and orbiting it closely, draws material from it and throws it out into space, sculpting the beautiful structure that we see from Earth as viewed from its equatorial plane.


Finding balance in relationships  

     The transit of Venus across the Sun focuses on the characteristics and qualities that derive from this binary system in its last stage of life. The first is precisely that it is a double star, therefore, focuses on relationships, especially if they are close, just as both components orbit close to each other. The area of ​​influence of the "eclipse of Venus" is the relationship with our spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, family, close friends, work team. This is where it will make our affection, self-esteem move, and where it will show us the real value we give to things and people, and ourselves. We all have to make an adjustment in this sense during the nexd days or weeks...  

     The second important feature of the Butterfly Nebula is that an element of the relationship takes away material from the other and throws it into space for recycling. This may represent an intense, challenging and highly motivating interaction. A member of the relationship stimulates the other's creativity and helps to manifest it, usin its talents. On the other hand, this may also mean that some individuals can be very demanding and take energy, time and resources from the other (or several people if they are involved). Perhaps the most egocentric person in the couple may be using the other to carry out his/her creative work or distribution. This is not necessarily bad, especially if it is correctly paid in labor relations. But, in other contexts this may be somewhat unbalanced. For example, a relative, friend or lover (innocently or not) can use the time and effort of another person without compensation on the pretext there there is affection in the relationship.


Beauty and harmony to recycle, motivate and inspire  

     Anyway, balance is possible, even more so with Venus! And the work we need to do is to regulate our self-esteem, to balance and harmonize any excesses. Of course, no fights, arguments or aggressive actions: everything must be done in a loving way, as always with Venus. It will give much better results! This is especially true in the arts, since the Butterfly Nebula is beautiful from a visual standpoint, with its combination of colors and shapes. We can take this event as an enormous artistic motivation, and, although it is very inspiring, it can also make our aspirations soar too high, depleting our energy and resources. Beauty comes up to the point where we can express its essence, everything else is superfluous...don't go beyond. But everything will flow through finding cooperation: one of the partners is the supplier, while the other manages his/her resources. If viewed from an artistic point of view, this cooperation means that one motivates and gives a concrete shape to the creativity of the other, a process similar to the screenwriter who collaborates with the director of the film.  

     In short, the message sent from Venus, the Sun and the Butterfly Nebula is: people must be in the right place in order to cooperate better with others so we can have common achievements by harmonizing our environment and our relationships. 


Fill your voids with love for yourself and the World  

     Of course, not everyone is in a position to do so, and in many cases there may be blockages, negative interactions or distant relationships, perhaps power games where someone wins and someone loses. Hardly an "eclipse of Venus" may be strong enough to change the situation if we do not have the will to do so, because there celestial events do not affect human beings: they only reflect their reality. It is us that need to actually do the change, and this event, so special that we will not witness again in our lifetime, is a reminder of the harmony that we need to plant and cultivate in our planet. At the global level, many areas which need this balancing process will be exposed... so many. This is nothing new, but if the atmosphere indicates harmony, the situations where there is exploitation, contempt, indifference, lack, poverty and hunger will contrast sharply with the venusian expectations.  

     The eclipse of Venus, aligned to the Butterfly Nebula, will expose very clearly in which areas of our individual lives and the world there is a gap to be filled, an imbalance to be corrected. And the will to re-establish the balance is in our hands. Under the impulse of this "Venus eclipse", the motivation to cooperate may be bigger, and the effects of our small actions in this regard may have more weight than we can imagine at first. Do not forget to do something for the world during these days! Do not stop the flow of love, affection, harmony, vitality, beauty and acceptance in your personal lives ...
