July 11th: The Sun in opposition to the Ring Nebula strongly emphasizes the higher mind, leading to extremes in convictions, as dangerous as transcendent

July 11th: The Sun is in opposition to M57, the Ring Nebula in the constellation Lyra. This astrological combination indicates a particular intensification of ideas and beliefs, which may have a positive or negative outcome, depending on the particular situation. M57 is a planetary nebula or dying star that ejected its material into space about 8,000 years ago. One of its poles is oriented towards Earth, so that visually it resembles a ring, although it is actually a cylinder we see from one end.

The central star of M57 is extremely hot and this represents a strong stimulus to the higher mind: science, philosophical and political ideals, art, spirituality and religion. However, unlike other similar planetary nebulae such as M27, the Ring Nebula tends to push ideas into extremes and is characterized by a lack of moderation. It is therefore very important to use this strong impulse to advance in studies, to go further in mysticism and philosophy, to strengthen political and social convictions, reaching sublime  heights in the manifestation of art, to meditate in contact with the infinite and carry scientific research to new levels.

If not properly channeled, this trend may produce clashes with anyone who has views different from our own. There is no point in discussing fanaticism at a personal level, as it is a passing trend (likely to last 48 hours). But at the international level it will surely accentuate collective opposition to unpopular policies in all countries. The social scene will heat up even more! So, at a personal level, it is better to concentrate this energy on developing our own ideas in a constructive manner and thus we will progress rather than have aggressive confrontations.
