March 23/24: The Lunar Eclipse conjunct galaxy M89 confronts us with the abuse of power both in our personal lives and globally

      A lunar eclipse is an opportunity to rationally assimilate elements that have remained unconscious, that abruptly explode into our consciousness, forcing us to confront and assimilate them. The Full Moon, reflecting sunlight over its entire surface, is a moment of consciousness; during a lunar eclipse, it is interrupted momentarily, indicating a "dark" part that remains unclear to our rational mind. The area of ​​the sky or the celestial bodies that are within the area of ​​the eclipse, are an indicator of the issues that we have to work on, both personally and collectively, during the six months following this celestial phenomenon.

      In March 2016, the Lunar Eclipse falls in ecliptic conjunction to galaxy M89, located in the constellation Virgo. M89 is characterized by being a dominant galaxy, with a voracious appetite: it is in the process of absorbing a smaller galaxy, and there are indications that it has swallowed others in the past. Galactic cannibalism is common in the universe, but M89 also has a dominant character: its core exploded two million years ago, showing a tendency to manifest its power violently. The meaning of the eclipse, therefore, is related to the use and abuse of power, and its consequences at both personal and global levels.

     At the international level, it is clear how the eclipse relates in its explosive mode with the attacks in Brussels just a day before the phenomenon itself. It is striking how the eclipse falls almost exactly at lower meridian of Brussels. Above all, it is a brutal way for the cosmos to confront our society in order to become aware of the causes leading to such events, not because they are known, but because they have not been resolved. And in this sense, the eclipse will confront us with many situations implying abuse of power worldwide to reach their causes: the tasks that humanity has not been able to resolve.

    On a personal level, the eclipse with M89 can be handled in a more direct and less violent way. Basically, it refers to the way in which we use our personal power in everyday life. It is important to realize how we manage our emotional energy in relationships, as the eclipse falls on the zodiac sign of Libra. The eclipse will allow us to become aware of the energy we project and we receive from others, and will force us to think about it in order to make the necessary changes to avoid abuse or imbalanced relationships. Physically, it clearly refers to our nutrition(the voracious M89), and the abuse we can inflict to our body when we feed it with unnecessary, toxic or food which in turn is the product of the abuse on other living beings. Do we need to abuse nature in order to survive? Or other fellow beings?
