January 31: Lunar Eclipse conjunct Ceres and stellar cluster M67 is a wake up call in order to integrate and develop female values in a society structured on power

     As noted in previous releases of the Galactic Guide, half of the planets and main asteroids are in one hemisphere of the clestial sphere, while the other is occupied by Ceres alone -actually with the North Lunar Node, which symbolizes the direction of evolution. This represents a strong focus on feminine values, represented so well by Ceres, an archetype so hurt by different civilizations, and particularly ours, with our destructive relationship with Mother Nature. Well, the lunar eclipse falls exactly on Ceres, making the signal stronger. 

The Lunar eclipse, showed here as the Moon, falls exactly on the same zodiacal degree as Ceres, pointing to the feminine values she represents.

      The message is: humans, you won't get away with it, pay attention to nature and feminine values. The time lapse of the eclipse is about six months, so feminine power (which is not necessarily woman power) is likely to be onstage. For what? In order to revise the very roots of cruelty and fight for power in our civilization. The Lunar Eclipse happens in ecliptic conjunction with M67, an open cluster of stars in the constellation Cancer. M67 is one of the oldest clusters in our galaxy, as its stars formed about the same time as our solar system. Therefore, it symbolizes old things, traditions, roots. Many of its stars are type G, related to psychological characteristiscs such as self-assertion and the desire for power (violence, submission). 

     Further, 11 K-type orange giants are also prominent, pointing to sexuality and emotional issues (women as sex objects). So, it is clear that our present evolution as a genre depends on the work we can do to rewrite the role our civilization has given to the feminine principle, shared by men and women as well. This battle is not only about women, but also about liberating men from a destructive model! Mother Nature is asking for attention, she is issuing an alarm call, a plea, a request, a demand: traditions need to be updated if they imply violence and submission. On a collective level, we need to stop cruelty towards nature and develop measures of protection instead of fighting. We also need to change the abusive standard which discriminates women. 

      Many events related to this theme will be highlighted in the news in the following months, for sure. To correct all the damage done might take centuries in the best of cases, but as individuals, there's a lot we can accomplish if we reconsider our conduct and switch from abuse, discrimination and power games into a cooperative, nurturing, protective and productive scheme. The Lunar Elipse is pointing to the fact that this is far more important than any personal or social/political issues we may have. 

   We need to work conscously on this. Great and honorable task for the months ahead. It's going to be a real "Female Spring". Good luck!

December 19/20: Saturn transits the December Solstice point, conjunct to star cluster M23 and the Trifid Nebula (M20), indicating conservative restrictions, controlling policies, and an opportunity to get structured

     The December Solstice is one of the points on the celestial sphere that have a great astrological significance. The December Solstice is the place where the Sun seems to stop in its movement towards the south of the celestial sphere, and change course, heading from that moment towards the north. This change of direction has an important effect on the seasonal cycle of the year, the vital pulse of the biosphere. Therefore, it is not surprising that many civilizations built their monuments aligned with the points of the sky in which the solstices and also the equinoxes occur.

    The December Solstice happens when the shortest day and the longest night occur in the northern hemisphere of the planet. The night, in which we can contemplate a multitude of stars, has a social, collective psichological meaning, while the day, symbolized by the light of the Sun, represents  individual consciousness. The December Solstice is the point that represents society's strength and collectivity, so that any transit of the planets through this point will undoubtedly determine the general atmoisphere, and will coincide with important events around the world.

       Saturn, whose tendency tends to be restrictive, enters the solstitial point, showing undoubtedly general restrictions for the world population: the neutrality of the internet is already in danger, for example. If we want to know how Saturn can manifest itself in this important point, we can consider the events that happened in its previous transit, which was in November 1988. They were certainly significant events: George H. Bush is elected president of the United States, Estonia is the first state to declare its sovereignty over the Soviet Union, there were important elections in Canada, Israel and Pakistan, Carlos Salinas assumes the presidency of Mexico (December 1st) ... On one hand, the structure of the Soviet Union begins to crumble, and on the other, the conservative forces in power seem to consolidate. Very Saturnian!

     This can be explained by t he fact that, just before passing through the solstitial point, Saturn makes a conjunction with star cluster M23, one of the oldest in the galaxy, with an estimated age of 220 million years. Its age reminds us of the past and, therefore, astrologically represents traditions and conservative tendencies. The combination of Saturn and M23 makes us think of a control with a very conservative approach, and indeed it is clear that the attempt to end net neutrality corresponds to this trend. And in several parts of the world, notably the United States and Mexico, the proclamation of laws that severely limit the freedoms of citizens is the materialization of this Saturnian restriction, enhanced by M23.

     Later during the next week, Saturn conjuncts the Trifid Nebula (M20), an interesting and beautiful nebula in the constellation of Sagittarius. Inside the Trifid there is a multiple system of stars among which three giant stars, of very high temperature, dominate. These stars combine their radiation eroding strongly their surroundings, literally melting the walls of the nebula. This symbolizes a very dominant attitude, which, combined with the transit of Saturn, suggests an abusive use of force, and repression. So it is not to be expected that policies whose objective is to have greater control will be relaxed. Not at all.

     These are difficult days for the people of the planet, represented by the Winter Solstice (the collectivity), and Saturn in its transit also shows the responsibility that society has in order to fix negative situations. This power can also be through the giant stars of M20: they are of very high temperature, what astrologically speaking points to the use of the higher mind, to a greater consciousness, to a power of conviction and to great ideals. Apparently, it will be necessary to resort to a great ideological power so we can slow or avoid the destruction of the current democratic systems, already deteriorated by history and corruption.

    The question is: what role do we play individually in this general scheme? Saturn transiting the solstice point will question our individual responsibility and our sense of commitment to curb policies that restrict human rights. And, on a more personal and practical level, the trend can sbe useful to put a significant  amount of order in our lives, plans, files, homes, minds and emotions. With such a tendency, staying without doing anything can be counterproductive, because, just like in 1988, this seems to be a decisive moment in the history of our civilization ...Happy Holidays! And let Saturn also bring a well-deserved relax!

September 5/6: Mercury stationary conjunct to supernova Puppis A, in contra parallel to the Butterfly Nebula (M2-9), reactivates the solar eclipse, blowing our minds while simultaneously allowing introspection and objectivity

      Many comments have been heard recently about this Mercurian retrogradation being very intense and heavy to experience. It is not easy to face the daily difficulties that Mercury involves in its apparent backward movement, just after the turmoil of a very intense solar eclipse coinciding with many disasters around the world, yet to be solved. Another article in the Galactic Guide mentioned the eclipse as a means of confronting and getting over discord. When humanitarian disasters arise, our egos have to be set aside, and it becomes evident that the differences between humans do not actually exist in depth. Social, racial, ideological, nationalist and religious barriers disappear when humanity becomes vulnerable and exposes its true essence through tragedy.

     This situation is likely to continue. Mercury is stationed in the zodiac degree corresponding to the latest solar eclipse (28 ° of tropical Leo), somehow reactivating it, something that has been noticed and commented by numerous astrologers in their blogs. It has also been said that it may involve violence because of the conjunction with Mars. Fortunately, a Mercurian station is a passing phenomenon: in a few days things will probably start to return to normal, while an eclipse's influence lasts approximately six months.

      This reactivation can be explosive in some cases, however, since Mercury is stationary only a degree away of an exact ecliptic conjunction with supernova Puppis A. Supernovae usually indicate drastic changes, and in the present conditions of human civilization and the environment , we are likely to hear some more heartbreaking news. Since Mercury represents communication, we may have to listen to many explosive phrases and a lot of aggression between people in conflict, decadent politicians and social networks...  But that's nothing new.

     Every supernova explosion, from the astrological point of view, creates turmoil, but also brings renewal. Supernovae destroy a previous scheme, usually in an unexpected way,  allowing us to contemplate, through its transformative effect, aspects of reality that we had not perceived until then. Although supernovae have a strong emission of energy at all levels of the electromagnetic spectrum, they are particularly strong on X-rays, which symbolically indicates introspection, awareness of something that had not been seen previously. What shall we learn this time?

     Despite this, and even in an environment so full of agitation, an interesting element arises: Mercury stationary is also in contraparallel to the Butterfly Nebula (M2-9). This means that it is placed at exactly the same distance from the Celestial Equator, only in the other hemisphere, acting as as a scale in equilibrium. The Butterfly Nebula (M2-9), which is in the constellation of Ophiuchus, is actually a star dying, expelling its atmosphere into outer space. As we see it from the Earth from its equatorial plane, we perceive its structure as two particularly symmetrical "butterfly wings". Although its form is complex, the symmetrical appearance of this celestial body suggests objectivity, contemplation of the two sides of a situation.

    So, in spite of the explosive tendencies, the possibility of appreciating things objectively is there. In the world, disasters probably will continue to predominate, but on a personal level we can do introspection and objective analysis of the issues we are handling and the situations we experience. This Mercurian station invites us to reach a good level of mental penetration in our reality, allowing insights and therefore an objective view of circumstances, just as they are. The Butterfly Nebula in particular indicates a process of mental balance, which considers pros and cons, which sees "the two sides of the coin," which considers the other's point of view without minimizing his own, and whose objective is to develop temperance, one of the most absent virtues in the collective human experience today.

     In a world of ideological extremism, objectivity and mental clarity are what is most needed to stop aggression and act constructively despite our differences. As individuals, this Mercury is ideal for research, psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, writing and deep reflection on any situation that requires it. The shots of awareness can be strong, but at the same time, refreshing, and discoveries might be surprising and revitalizing.

August 21/22: The solar eclipse in opposition to star cluster M15 confronts us with our own human discord and asks us to work on it

      Eclipses are important events from the astrological point of view, as they point to the themes that will predominate in the general environment and in our personal experience during the six months after the celestial event takes place. Terrestrial events related to an eclipse can normally be seen before it actually happens, and this is very true of the solar eclipse of August 21, 2017. The atmosphere in the two weeks before the eclipse is of discord , confrontations, terrorism, disgusting policies, destruction ... Is this indicated by the solar eclipse? What can we do about it?

     The eclipse happens in the 28th degree of the zodiacal sign Leo (tropical Leo, NOT the constellation). On the other side of the celestial sphere, in the constellation of Pegasus, the Winged Horse, is stellar cluster M15. The eclipse and M15 are in ecliptic opposition, which means that the eclipse is itself a factor that balances or contradicts M15. What does M15 represent? To understand it, it is necessary to analyze its physical characteristics. A cluster of stars is similar to a city, in which a large number of individuals coexist in the same space. And just as all cities have rules of traffic and behavior, stars in clusters are regulated by gravitational laws. This causes each star to occupy its space within the gravitational pressure exerted by the others.

     Sometimes, however, as is the case with M15, the gravitational pressure is so great that it collapses, and then the distances and positions of the stars are no longer regulated by collective pressure. Each one moves within the cluster in a more or less anarchic way. In M15, this situation is accentuated by the fact that it contains many stars and objects very different from each other. It has several pulsars (supernova remnants), a planetary nebula (a dying star) and many variable stars that change their luminosity constantly and suggest instability.

     M15 indicates a difficult coexistence, in which rules are broken, anarchy prevails, and the differences between the individuals are more important than the coincidences. M15 is in the 29th degree of the zodiacal sign Aquarius (tropical Aquarius, NOT the constellation), whose tendency is definitely individualistic. That being said, anyone who has been in contact with the news in the last two weeks may realize that the eclipse and its opposition to M15 perfectly describe the awakening of racism and a resurgence of terrorism at an international scale. If this is happening already at the time of the eclipse, it means that this is the trend that will prevail over the next six months. We better be prepared to handle it and transform it.

      An eclipse always leaves us something to work on, both collectively and individually. At the collective level, it is a matter of balancing these destructive tendencies which promote hatred and discord. The eclipse is in opposition to M15, therefore, its task is to balance, to make a counterweight, to resist racism, war and destruction. Taking into account that the eclipse happens in the sign of Leo, the situation becomes dramatic, open, visible and persistent. This is not a single-event phenomenon, the eclipse will last for six months and surely many things related to it will happen. However, as a society, it is our duty to express ourselves firmly to stop the destruction of social structures and natural resources.

     As individuals, we can work out differences with more awareness, purposely directing our energy towards the healing of discord, however small. If we heal ourselves, we are healing the planet, if we heal our relationships, we extend this health. What does "healing" mean here? Understanding that coexistence in freedom is impossible if there is no respect for the basic rights of others. Philosophies that rely on the power of one over another do not work in this scheme, and in fact,  may destroy it. We live in a global civilization, whether we like it or not, and the eclipse asks us to act accordingly. Nationalisms do not work unless we consider the planet as our Great Motherland.

       Somehow, M15 portrays the difficult situation in which we find our civilization: too many people in discord on the same planet. Well, if that's the disease, that's where the cure comes from. Like everything in human experience, M15 has a positive side as well: it is the understanding that everyone has their place and function, and that we can coexist with other people who have different points of view. It may not be so terrible and can be enriching. In the worst of cases, the eclipse will exacerbate existing tensions, forcing those involved to work and constructively resolve their differences. Many will find it difficult to do so.

        In its highest manifestation, M15 speaks of freedom in coexistence. The diversity of ways of life and thought should be a source of cultural enrichment and not of discord. But ego and resentment prevent us from expressing this in a positive way. Well, at least now we will not have pretexts to postpone the necessary work on discord and make personal and collective fronts to protect ourselves and start transcending into a better, kinder social contract, with freedom and without violence.

August 2/3: Uranus retrograde in ecliptic conjunction to galaxy M74 emphasizes renovations, artistic and financial production, also violence and rebellion

     The retrograde station of a planet like Uranus is one of the most important events of the year from the astrological point of view, so it is always convenient to analyze it in depth... The events that arise around the Uranus retrograde station usually refer to changes or innovations that will be carried out and / or will manifest during the next six months. On January 3rd, 2018, Uranus will stop again, making its direct station and will resume its forward movement in the zodiac...

    In short,  Uranus' station is part of the background atmosphere that will prevail during the second part of 2017. This time, Uranus stops in ecliptic conjunction to M74, a spiral galaxy in the constellation Pisces. This galaxy is characterized by its great symmetry: we see it face-on, with its two arms perfectly delimited. This type of galaxies, which are referred to as of "Great Design" astronomically, are excellent astrological indicators for artistic and creative matters. This augurs a very good season for the arts, although the results may not be appreciated until the next Uranian station, in January 2018. In the case of Uranus, the planet of innovation, a revolutionary, avant-garde, experimental and breaking trend is expected. Breaking schemes that are already quite shattered...

     On the other hand, M74 is a very productive galaxy. Despite difficulties in observing it due to its low reflectivity,  images of M74 reveal a large number of young stars and star-forming nebulae in its spiral arms. This is an indicator of high productivity, activated through the Uranus station, which can have excellent effects if you have the right strategies, and this includes financial matters. Beyond the arts, anyone can benefit from this trend, especially if this productivity involves making renovations, changes that are to improve conditions. It doesn't matter if they are difficult! Doing them or starting them today or in the next few days will bring in the Uranian impulse of change, facilitating the process. Needless to say, trying to avoid change or trying to keep things as they are can be counterproductive. If something gets out of control, maybe it's because it was too controlled. Until now.

     In international matters, beyond the good effects on art, production and finance, Uranus' station on M74 can have an explosive effect ... Although only two supernovae have been detected in M74, which is relatively little in comparison to other galaxies, one of them is a hypernova, a gigantic explosion of an extremely large star. This symbolizes a tendency to explosive and potentially destructive situations. Therefore, it is necessary to foresee, personally, the consequences that may have to mobilize certain areas or make certain changes. In the collective arena, it is more difficult for this trend to manifest smoothly... It is more likely an indicator of more violence, which strengthens any elements opposed to governments in general. The environment is totally conducive to rebellion and drastic changes in politics. In some cases this will represent a liberating scheme, while in others it will simply exacerbate the climate of discord.

       The good thing is that, at least as individuals, we can decide how to use this tendency to apply it where it is convenient, and not just suffer from it unconsciously. Let's focus our energy on making pertinent changes, renewing to improve, and releasing our potential so that it can have the best effect on our projects.

May 8/9: Juno in retrograde station in parallel to the Wild Duck Cluster (M11) indicates the reevaluation of commitments in relationships and a deep transformation of the social contract in our civilization

     When the smaller planet Juno makes its retrograde station, it indicates an area to work on in relationships, especially love, but it can be actually any relationship that involves commitment. In its retrograde phase of May 2017,  Juno advances through the zodiacal sign of Capricorn, whose disposition towards commitment is also great. So one of the main themes of the year, until Juno changes sign, entering Aquarius in December 2017, is  the way we make contracts and how we carry them out.

     Juno stops in parallel to the Wild Duck Cluster (M11), one of the open clusters most abundant in stars. If the average of an open cluster is usually 100/200 stars, M11 has more than 2,900, which makes it one of the most abundant and conspicuous cosmic families in our galaxy ... M11 is in the constellation Scutum, the Shield, and its corresponding zodiacal position is in the 13th degree of Capricorn. Its abundance of stars of the spectral types A, G and K suggests a communicative, expressive, dominant and deeply emotional personality.

     The fact that Juno makes its retrograde station in parallel to M11 indicates a great need to share, express and feel in the company of others. This impulse can lead to important alliances with like-minded people, but it can also intensify existing relationships. It may be a good time to strengthen and reaffirm emotional or ideological ties with those who we share our daily lives with, and therefore this trend can favor social events of all kinds.

    However, an excess of energy in social activities, even at a personal level, can make relationships too intense. Spectral type G stars, which abound in M11, are often dominant and often generate power games. Therefore, if the social context or personal relationships are used as a pretext to excel, then conflicts will arise, as Juno is a planet that represents egalitarian relations, and is very sensitive to the lack of reciprocity.

       In this retrograde phase, Juno will undoubtedly seek to review reciprocity and equality in relationships, and if she doesn´t find them, she will definitely seek to re-establish them. And this will undoubtedly be through a particularly  intense communication and strong emotional expression. Hence the work to be done is to seek equality. As Juno is a feminine archetype, the search for respect and equality for women on different social fronts, as well as reactions to unjust and brutal acts such as violence, will be accentuated. As Juno rules marriage, it will also intensify the debate and struggle related to homosexual marriage in different countries, with different results. But it is obvious that it will also cover many other areas of society.

    It should not be forgotten that Juno is currently in close conjunction with Pluto, a planet that symbolizes deep transformations and radical changes, not exempt from struggle, effort and confrontations. The conjunction between Juno and Pluto, which is active for most of 2017, indicates that society is transforming its parameters of the meaning of marriage. It also influences the way in which the social contract is made, which allows the coexistence and participation of all sectors within a particular society. The codes of this contract are under profound transformation: alliances that previously worked are no longer effective and will tend to break up to form other associations more suitable to the current times. The Juno / Pluto combination also represents deep changes in the alliances that exist between the different international, governmental or clandestine, mafias, and their corruption on the fabric of society, which is reaching unbelievable levels in 2017.

    Thus, Juno's station in the month of May has much more importance than just a passing event: it may leave a permanent mark on society. The alliances that form or break down, will do so through an intensified demonstration, their voices will be heard more than ever, competing for dominance, although the goal is to end inequality and achieve a more balanced society for us all.

     On a personal level, this tendency can lead to crisis in couples, or perhaps to adjustments that will make coexistence better. Relationships that have a good level of reciprocity will become stronger and will be blessed with plenitude, without a doubt. In any case, it is good to review with whom we commit ourselves and to whom we dedicate our energy. We must also check if we  are corresponding in a balanced way to those who show interest in us, in marriage, love, friendship, in relations with our neighbors, in the family, at work, as citizens, etc. etc. Balance involves questioning whether our attitudes can be selfish, something we tend to overlook, always blaming others. Emotional dramas, power games, and the use of space and time by others for purely individual purposes must be definitely avoided. Unless we want to make a latent bomb explode...

     This balancing process will last for most of the year, until November, when Juno returns to its retrograde station point. But we will feel more its influence during the month of May. Some contracts will be renewed, others will be modified and others will be dissolved, but our efforts should focus on making our lives and those of others more balanced and fair.

April 9/10: Mercury in retrograde station in parallel with binary pulsar PSR 1913 + 16 indicates intense, influential relationships and a great boost for our creativity

     Mercury stops for the second time during the year, starting today its movement backwards along the zodiac for a little more than three weeks, until May 4. The retrograde phase of Mercury, although an optical illusion caused by a difference of speed with the Earth, has a strong effect from the astrological point of view, coinciding with difficulties and delays in  communication and daily life. At this point in the age of communication, the general public is well aware of the Mercury retrograde phenomenon, almost as well as the solar sign columns in newspapers and magazines. And while this might be a period of difficulties and alterations in our regular routine, the celestial objects to which it is associated can give us an idea of ​​how to handle it properly, in order to minimize possible conflicts and even take advantage of it.

     At the start of its retrograde phase of April 2017, Mercury is stationed in parallel (at the same distance from the Celestial Equator) as PSR 1913 + 16, a very interesting and relatively little known object. It is the first binary pulsar, discovered in 1974 (it earned the Nobel prize in 1993 to its discoverers). What is a pulsar? It is a neutron star, one of the densest objects in the universe, which is the result of the explosion of a star or supernova. The explosion puts the neutron star rotating at extremely high speed, which in turn generates a giant magnetic field around it: neutron stars have very dominant personalities. Often, these stars emit electromagnetic radiation, mainly in the frequency of radio and gamma rays, and they do so in pulsations (hence the name of pulsar) at very regular intervals. Pulsars are the most accurate clocks in the universe.

     A pulsar, by itself, suggests from the astrological point of view a strong, imposing personality and a great capacity of communication (radio) that in turn can produce strong insights and activate the higher mind (gamma rays). And well, the universe is so immense and so full of possibilities that on many occasions, on their way through the galaxy in which they roam, pulsars meet with other pulsars, and if the encounter is close enough, tehy get trapped in a mutual orbit, hopelessly mixing the power of their magnetic fields. A large number of stars in the universe form binary systems, but individual pulsars are less likely to meet other similar stars and share a mutual orbit.

     These binary pulsars symbolize influential encounters, magnetic and profound interaction, attractions by similarity of character, in which there is deep communication that leaves permanent traces in both members of the relationship. In the case of binary pulsar PSR 1913 + 16, which is in the constellation Aquila, the Eagle, the fate of the relationship is a permanent union: in about 300 million years, the two stars will collide and merge into a single one. Such a meeting is highly influential, and may seem very romantic in a symbolic (and also very real) sense, indicating events and relationships that alter forever the course of our individual existence.

     In this way, the Mercurian station points to this type of relationships and encounters. While not all will end in a literal or symbolic marriage, it does involve significant exchanges, which may alter for better or for worse our personal development - the result will vary on each individual case. If the encounters are too intense, they may last a short time and cause great disturbances. However, meeting people whose ideas or personalities are similar to oneself can result in great self-assertion and creativity. Seeing your personal values reflected in the mirror of another significant person is a certification of your assets, since you feel strengthened in your way of being.

     At its best, this intense identification is a great creative opportunity, and bringing together the good ideas of two people or a the whole team has a greater weight than that of a single person. Cooperation can make circumstances move on, make projects advance and break difficult obstacles, achieving things that one wouldn´t do normally alone. However, n the case of inadequate relationships or unfortunate cases, the effect can be quite destructive, so we must apply some selectivity and maintain common sense. On the collective level, given the destructive tendency of our civilization, this trend points of threatening and devastating associations, but also to the possibility of joining forces to put a stop to the devastating elements of our reality. Union means strength!

     On the other hand, the united effect of Mercury and PSR 1913 + 16 may point not so much to relations, but to different resources that mobilize one another. For example, a good idea that finds the adequate funding to be put into practice, boosting development. Also individually, the motivation of Mercury and PSR 1913 + 16 is very effective if we put to work the different resources within ourselves!

     It might be clear by now that this Mercury retrograde station is not soft or static, but highly energetic and represents in itself an enormous mental and material motivation to implement strategies and boost creativity, be it in pairs, in teams or individually. Be careful though: too much energy can get out of control and cause accidents, serious misunderstandings, and the loss of our original goals. April 1/2: Venus conjunct Pallas, in opposition to galaxy M84 indicate defensive strategies against discord, machism and violence which can harmonize social relations and straighten finances

     Venus has been retrograde since March 4, indicating certain difficulties in relationships and finances, accentuated by its natural weakness in the zodiac sign of Aries, its opposite by nature. It is as if Venus was in an agitated environment, too energetic to be able to manifest its natural diplomacy, characterized by aggressive circumstances that disturb peace and tranquility, both personally and collectively. If we want to focus positively on this retrogradation, it may bring us back people with whom there were conflicts in the past. If they were not properly solved, this retrogradation is a good opportunity to finish them in good terms, until April 15, the day it resumes its movement forwards.

    But it is clear that Venus needs some help not to drown in so much roughness existing in the general atmospheret, and it seems that this weekend that help will arrive. Venus crosses the equinoctial point or vernal point, which is where the March equinox happens. This is a point in the celestial sphere of extreme importance, as it is the one that marks astronomically the beginning of the seasonal year and which represents astrologically the quality of our connection to the universe. Any planet or astronomical phenomenon happening around this point will be of great relevance, coinciding with important events in the international plane and also in the lives of the majority of  individuals.

       On this occasion, Venus crosses the equinoctial point meeting with asteroid Palas, whose archetypal association is with the capacity to generate successful strategies, which can provide Venus with the aid that it really needs in these moments of so much lack of harmony in the world. It should not be forgotten that Pallas Athene, in mythology, lends her shield, helmet and sword to Perseus, the hero who saves the princess Andromeda from being devoured by a sea monster. In this case, it is very likely that Pallas will be able to protect Venus with her weapons from her present enemies: discord and machism, both indicated by the zodiacal sign of Aries.

    Which weapons are these actually? Basically, the ability to create a defensive strategy, typical of Pallas. Organizational capacity is essential to deal with conflicts that generate abusive situations. However, the main weapon of Pallas is indicated by the galaxy that lies exactly on the opposite side of the sky: M84, located in the constellation of Virgo.

     M84 is a lenticular galaxy - similar to a dish, without defined arms, which is characterized by having an impressive amount of radio emission. This strong emission in this part of the electromagnetic spectrum is visible in two spectacular, conspicuous jets that stem from its center in opposite directions, surpassing by far the physical diameter of the galaxy itself. On the other hand, M84 has a prominent band of dark clouds of dust crossing its center, suggesting difficulties, blockages, hindrances. So, we have here an interesting personality: someone who is able to overcome strong impediments through an enormous power of communication. And this is the power of Pallas:  to be able to compensate for the recent misfortunes of Venus, which have left the world open-mouthed at so much rudeness, vulgarity, and destructiveness.

     The triple alignment between Venus, Pallas and M84 indicates that, thanks to the power of communication, it will be possible to break down barriers and defend against abusive situations. While much of the media capacity and the internet's are now diluted in frivolity, false information and alienation, it is also possible to use them to denounce, expose, spread information and bring to light acts of corruption, cruelty and abuse. Some will think that this is nothing new, that exposure is not enough to correct, that spreading violent news makes things worse. However, during this weekend at least, which is the approximate time duration of the Venus / Pallas / M84 alignment, things may work differently, and successfully,  in many cases.

     Collectively, a phenomenon so fleeting can hardly straighten the excesses of a decadent civilization, but it will certainly coincide with the exposure of acts of violence and corruption, particularly towards women, taking into account that Venus is an essentially feminine archetype. If civilians are organized in the right way, they can put a significant stop to violence, through denunciation and dissemination of information, rejecting the imposition of a macho culture that causes harm to the world and to the nature's harmony. In the worst of cases, the strong impression caused by the news will generate a greater awareness, which is what is needed as a basis for things to change. And of course, this can lead to the generation of more strategies to defend the world and society from the forces that try to destroy them.

      On a personal level, this astrological combination is more likely to succeed: identifying areas where there has been roughness, confrontation, disagreement, discord, abuse or disharmony. The power of communication as a weapon refers to the ability to express, to manifest, to expose, as opposed to a submissive attitude, in which silence is the means by which greater abuses are allowed. In cases that are not so dramatic, this tendency can serve to smooth relationships, harmonize daily conflicts, embellish chaotic environments, and balance exhausted economies. Since Venus represents money and material values ​​as well, it is possible that adequate financial planning is capable of moving distressing situations and put them back on the right track. The weapons here are dissemination, promotion, publicity (other ways of communication) and they are very likely to have a very good effect on financial matters during the coming weeks as well.

     Venus will enter the zodiacal sign of Pisces on Monday, April 3, and although it remains retrograde, it is in this sign that it is considered exalted or particularly strong. So, it is expected that the conjunction with Pallas, with all of the strategies and communication, will help solve financial and relationship problems. A couple of weeks later, Venus finishes its retrogradation,  on April 15th. Then it crosses again the equinoctial point on April 29. However, Venus will no longer be accompanied by Pallas, and must face for herself, although strengthened by her transit in Pisces, the bellicose experiences awaiting her  in her new transit through Aries. But the strategies designed by Palas and M84 will last longer than that, so it is important to work on them right now.

March 27/28: The New Moon in opposition to M102, the Draco Spindle Galaxy, invites us to work creatively on our limitations, turning them into an engine for our development

    The beginning of every astronomical cycle constitutes its most important moment in astrological terms, since it represents the seed that will be developed throughout the whole cycle. It is an energy reset, which modifies the direction in which the collective unconscious moves as well as nature in general. Therefore, the New Moon has always been considered the key moment of the month, in which trends are programmed, while the Full Moon, fifteen days later, symbolizes the completion of these same trends. The lunar cycle, which is one of the shortest astronomically speaking, is an indicator of our everyday life, ever fleeting but actually the basis of our general development.

     The solar-lunar cycle of March 2017 begins with the New Moon in ecliptic opposition to the Draco Spindle Galaxy or M102. This lenticular galaxy (similar in shape to a freesbee or flying saucer) is in the constellation Draco, the Dragon, located around the North Pole. From Earth, we see M102 from its equatorial plane, which is outlined by a dense layer of dark clouds and dust. Hence its nickname " Spindle Galaxy ", because its appearance is that of a sewing needle, very different from the one of spectacular galaxies like Andromeda (M31), the Sunflower Galaxy (M63) or the Bode Galaxy (M81).

    This modest appearance has obviously an astrological significance, even more so when the dense clouds block the light from its nucleus. Dark clouds represent obstacles to overcome, and limitations imposed by external factors. To see the reflection of this on Earth, one simply has to see the city over which M102 transits every day: Moscow, accustomed historically to great limitations imposed by a ruthless winter, cruel besiegement in times of war and extremely harsh political regimes and rulers. Galaxies of lenticular form, disc-shaped but without defined arms as do spirals, usually do not have this type of dense clouds, and because of this, M102 is considered an exception: the obstacles it represents are not common. It has been discovered that these clouds have their origin in a galaxy that M102 devoured in the past, as its remains have been found in the form of scattered stars in a faint halo around it.

    And although these dense clouds represent blockages, constraints, difficulties, it is precisely in this area of M102 in which new generations of stars are forming, though not as intensely as in other, much more creative, galaxies. That is, the same elements that coincide with constraints or cause blockages, are those that contain creativity, forcing them somehow to be productive. Lenticular galaxies are characterized by being quite sterile in terms of star production, so that in this sense, M102 is also an exception. It represents without doubt a personality with great limitations but that uses them in a creative way. As the saying goes: "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade."

     And that is precisely the lesson indicated by the March 2017 New Moon: finding a creative use to any limitations we may have, instead of suffering from them. The fact that the New Moon falls exactly in ecliptic opposition to the Draco Spindle Galaxy implies a balance, going exactly to the other side of the blockages in order to compensate for them. And this is done with energy and initiative, since the New Moon is in the zodiacal sign of Aries, dynamic and impulsive by nature. For this reason, during this lunar month, it is very important to identify the limits imposed by reality and to seek creative outlets within the constraints that they may imply. If we analyze it more closely, without limits there is no perceptible form and there is no differentiation between one thing and another. Sometimes the limits are necessary as a measure of protection, and we have to respect them to avoid falling into danger. Without limits, there are no challenges, and the will might be neglected, much as a muscle that is not excercised and then atrophies. And while limits are sometimes painful and unpleasant, they can also, as in the case of M102, be a wake-up call to train our character and mobilize our resources in an attempt to surpass them.

   Thus, this lunar month we will have the opportunity to exercise extensively in the management of our current limitations. It is possible that we must respect the limits as a precautionary measure and avoid great risks, in which case it will be important to work from the inside and bring into action resources and talents that otherwise we would never use. In other less dangerous cases, it will be important to train ourselves to jump over obstacles, which will require a great will effort of, but that will make us grow and stretch instead of cornering us in a disappointing and defeatist manner. And if we do not succeed, the effort to surpass any obstacles will be worthy, because it will mobilize our energy to prevent it from becoming stiff.

     With this New Moon, it is essential to be aware of this and try ... the experience will be enriching, for sure!

March 4/5: Venus in retrograde station in parallel to galaxy M95 and in opposition to the Sombrero Galaxy represents an excellent opportunity to establish highly productive unions, both personally and collectively

     That's right, here comes one of the most anticipated moments of 2017: the retrogradation of Venus. Unlike Mercury, which has three retrogradation periods (sometimes four times) per year, Venus recedes only once every year and a half, approximately. It is a visual and not a physical phenomenon, due to the difference in velocities between Earth and Venus. However, from the astrological point of view, the retrogradation means a "reset", an inventory or revision in order to start over a different cycle, redirecting our energy in matters concerning this planet.

     As Venus, in our civilization, is associated with themes such as art, finance, relationships, love, in the coming weeks  interesting movements are likely to be made in these areas, both in our personal and collective lives. Venus will be retrograde until April 15, another crucial moment to launch projects. Meanwhile, it is best to prepare them properly and without precipitation.

     Not all retrogradations are equal: this time Venus stands in parallel to M95, a barred-spiral galaxy in the constellation of Leo. The most important feature of M95 is that it is a great producer of stars, mostly concentrated in a ring around its core. Although there are many galaxies that have this characteristic due to friction or clash with other neighboring galaxies, in M95 the production seems to come from within, and without disturbing its surroundings. The fact that Venus makes its retrograde station in parallel to M95 symbolizes productive, non-disturbing relationships, synergy, creativity through union.

      Venus is also found, upon stopping at the point of its retrograde station, at an exact ecliptic opposition to the SombreroGalaxy or M104, which is in the constellation Virgo. Since it is an opposition, it is easy to think that Venus is balancing the tendency symbolized by the SombreroGalaxy, is providing  a counterweight. This galaxy is giant, at first thought to be a spiral because of a huge ring of dust on its equator, but it has been discovered that it is actually a giant elliptical and the dust ring is the remnant of a galaxy the Sombrero devoured in the past.

     As if it wasn't enough, the Sombrero has at its center an enormous black hole: it weights 5 billion solar masses! This implies an enormous gravitational power, whose result is a huge concentration, where the emphasis is inside, not outside. In summary: M014 symbolizes a self-centered personality with a dominant or imposing relationship over others, as it "devours" or "eats" them from the psychological point of view. It is here that the retrogradation of Venus makes sense, balancing egocenttric or convenience attitudes at the expense of others with cooperative, highly productive and non-disturbing relationships, indicated by M95. Sounds utopian, isn't it? But in times when dystopia is part of our everyday reality and not just a novel, this Venusian station is the essential utopian antidote for the voracity of the system in which mankind lives today.

     Hence, the Venus retrograde station is one of the most anticipated events of 2017.

     As with any retrogradation, we must take into account, however, that some matters can be delayed or experience resistance, but if we put aside the impatience of Aries, the zodiacal sign in which Venus stops, and rather emphasize its dynamism, it can be assumed as an excellent Period of review and preparation whose deadline is approximately April 15th. Issues related to finance, art, beauty, harmony, sexuality, love, affection, social relations, can be reconsidered, prepared, reoriented. It is possible that we will meet the right people to do so. In fact, at the collective level, this will undoubtedly be reflected in the union of many people in order to achieve a goal, in order to see this, just check the worldwide news in reliable sources.

      Personally, it is a time to produce and / or cooperate. Collectively, union means strength, and can compensate to some extent the devastating effects of egoism. We may have null, partial or excellent achievements, depending on the case. But what would be better than just trying? And under the impulse of Venus, it is possible that this process will be much more pleasant. In any case, it is a good opportunity to integrate harmony, beauty, balance and justice into our lives. February 26/27: The Solar Eclipse conjunct Neptune and parallel to star cluster M50 reinforces our idealism and tests it on the practical plane

     Very few solar eclipses occur in conjunction with Neptune, and even less when this planet is in its own zodiacal sign: Pisces. The solar eclipse of February 26, 2017 falls in the 8th degree of Pisces, with, say, the owner of the house just beside: Neptune is at 11° of Pisces, in a close conjunction, irremediably implicated into the event's story. Seen in another way, it is as if Neptune was the host of the cosmic event that is the eclipse, as it "receives" it in its own home, Pisces. What does the Solar Eclipse / Neptune / Pisces combination mean?

     Let 's analyze the host of this meeting: we know by astrological experience that Neptune depicts an idealist, with a need to transcend the material plane that can also cause some confusion and dispersion, or even evasion and victimization. But its best intention is to transcend the gross temporality of the material plane, particularly through altruistic actions, since it is an empathic creature. If the eclipse happens in the house of such a personality, it is expected that these Neptunian themes are of great relevance in the coming months, and in the collective and individual, it will be necessary to work on them. Both the creative, imaginative, idealistic, inspiring part of Neptune, as well as its disappointing, chaotic, escapist and victimizing side will manifest intensely during the following  6 months. This represents a good opportunity, collective and individual, to correct the confusing side and to take advantage of the creative side of this situation.

Neptune, the farthest gaseous giant planet, gives us that perspective simply because it is far enough from the Sun to make us contemplate things that way. The eclipse will only emphasize this reality, which is as true as our daily life, just placed on another dimension, less conscious, of our existence. On the other hand, where negative Neptunian conditions are likely to arise, frauds will be exposed, scandals will blast the news, humanitarian crises will intensify, religious and political extremism will rule...

        Nothing new under Neptune's Sun, but the Sun is eclipsed by the Moon... ¿Sounds familiar?

     That's as far as concerns the host Neptune. But what does his guest, the Annular Eclipse of the Sun, bring to the meeting? The eclipse happens in parallel to M50, a star cluster  in the constellation Monoceros (the Unicorn) and whose symbolism suggests a strong impulse to materialize ideas. M 50 has a majority of type-B stars, of high temperature, which represent the intellectual plane. However, it has a lone, very prominent red giant star that stands out against the white-blue backdrop of its type B companions. Of considerably lower temperature, type-M stars represent the material plane and the physical body rather than abstract thoughts. Hence, the particular combination of B and M stars of M50 suggests the meaning of materializing ideas, or giving a concrete value to them, to make them grounded.

     The fact that the Solar -but sooo Neptunian- Eclipse occurs in a powerful parallel to M50 reveals the need to materialize the good plans, ideas, projects and strategies that have been in mind for a long time, or perhaps just a little. In this context, M50 symbolizes the practical part that Neptune sometimes misses, dreaming a lot but sometimes finding it difficult to make the practical effort to make dreams come true... In this way, the eclipse signals the start of a good semester to work hard in the materialization of our plans. We can have excellent results!

      And it is precisely the practical implementation of plans that can make us see if our Neptunian ideals, with all their creativity, are viable or disconnected from reality. Plans that cannot easily materialize may need a change of focus, and we must let go of ego attachments to concepts or ideas that just block advancement. What a better teacher than practice itself! The closest Full Moon to Earth in 68 years, dubbed a "Supermoon" by the media, has perhaps a symbolic hue similar to that of other Full Moons. It is a moment of consciousness, like any other full moon. But the fact that it is closer to Earth than at other times indicates that consciousness "grows" because it looks bigger, even if only slightly larger.

     What a coincidence that this Supermoon happens right after the election of Donald Trump, who, of course, will continue to make the whole planet think and become aware of the whys. Sometimes awareness can be painful, but it is also possible to generate a creative response. The Super Full Moon is in parallel to star cluster M34, which is in the constellation Perseus. M34 has several interesting astrological characteristics, among which we can notice that many stars appear visually in pairs, suggesting a tendency to form associations. The metallicity or abundance of heavy elements in this cluster is high, and that symbolizes a high value: the relationships that M34 refers to are valuable, enriching and promising.

     The effect of the Supermoon great awareness is therefore union, at various levels, in our individual lives as well asworldwide. Everyone will take their own party, but M34 suggests valuable relationships, solidarity rather than discord. M34 makes us aware of the need for integration as well as its difficulties, but it shows us the way to repair the deep division that has now widened among American society and between the international capital and the world's population.

     The message of the Supermoon is therefore to reinforce integration, not discrimination.

    In addition, it is possible that during this week of Supermoon solutions arise and new possibilities come into vision, because the Sun, on the other side of the Supermoon, is in parallel to M24, a stellar cloud in the constellation of Sagittarius. M24 is not an object in itself, but is literally a hole in the clouds surrounding the center of the galaxy. M24 is a window into the interior of the Milky Way, and symbolizes therefore options, possibilities, solutions, transitions. It is possible to think that, a few days after the election of the United States, all governments and people are taking positions and looking for strategies to adapt to the new international reality.

     The combination of M34 and M24 implies the need to unite, to discuss, not to separate in discord. Obviously, in the existing climate, unity means strength, and even if there is a division in the world, it will become indispensable to unite in order to defend integrity. We have to support ourselves and seek solutions even if we are in different parts of the world. Also in our individual lives, the possibility of experiencing enriching, positive relationships is at hand with this Supermoon, so this week social events, teamwork, family life, friendships or romantic encounters are highly favored. Exchange and solidarity, as suggested by the parallel Sun / M24, can bring excellent solutions and the generation of new, interesting ways.

    Perhaps the Supermoon of 2016 is telling us that we must stop attacking each other, knowing beforehand that we won't stop, since we have not stopped in thousands of years. But she keeps trying, for those who know how to read her message and put it into practice in their individual realities.

August 30/31: Mercury retrograde conjunct galaxy M100 emphasizes the critical sense, enhances clarity and favors insights

      No tropical zodiac degree symbolizes more clarity than the last degree of Virgo, a zodiac sign that places great attention to detail. In addition, Mercury is at the midpoint Mars / Pluto, suggesting that the critical sense and the pursuit of clarity can trigger discomfort and conflict in daily life as well as plenty of perfectionistic activity. However, it is possible to channel this trend in a constructive way: M100 is a very symmetrical galaxy, of "Grand Design", and thus encourages artistic creation, harmony, balance. Great idea may arise, as well as excellent strategies that can be structured during the next three weeks of the Mercurial backwards movement, which ends on September 21st ... Thanks to Mercury's station over M100, it is possible to materialize great artistic achievements, and bring harmony to internal and external spaces.

            M100 represents the possibility of great introspection, too, since it has 5 detected supernovae, whose intense X-ray radiation suggests looking beyond the surface... When galaxies contain many supernovae, as in the case of M100, they become an indicator of awakenings, insight, and mental growth, emphasizing curiosity and research. Thus, for  some, Mercury's station will represent the need to investigate, psychoanalyze, question, think deeply, while others will apply this trend in the practical sense to achieve greater harmony around them. It would be a waste to let this trend manifest through an exaggerated and aggressive critical sense ... If there is criticism, let it be constructive and harmonious! It's in our hands not to let our clarity be tarnished by aggressiveness during the next weeks...

August 5/6: Mercury conjunct galaxy M96 and contra parallel Neptune indicates a balance between reason and imagination, as well as extravagant ideas and communication problems

      A contra parallel between two planets with opposite characteristics can indicate a great balance. In this case, there is a balance between the intuition and imagination, typical of Neptune, and the logical and rational thought associated to Mercury. In any case, Mercury's rapid transit can bring some logic to confusing situations, so we will be able to better understand and integrate our experiences. It is a good time to clarify our reality through a rational and objective approach.

     However, it is not expected that this balance results in common, typical viewpoints. Quite the contrary, it is possible that, just to clarify things, it will be necessary to take a very personal and individual position, and therefore different from what most people think. This is suggested by Mercury, which is simultaneously conjunct galaxy M96, located in the constellation Leo.

      The spiral structure of M96 is extremely asymmetrical, which symbolizes originality, independence, but also a lack of coordination and attitudes "out of place". Considering that the entire combination includes Neptune, it is not difficult to see that strange idea smay arise, wrong interpretations, forgetfulness, distractions, complications for teamwork and communication in general, so caution must be taken. On a more positive note, there may be a great inspiration, as well as art as for science: great, very original ideas and viewpoints can come to light of our consciousness. In worldly matters, extravagant and out of context ideas will be exposed, as well as unusual news about unclear situations (yes,in this age of information overload!).

     In anyt case, we must bear in mind that our personal perception may not match that of other people around. It is very likely that, in some cases, we will need to invest an extra effort to ensure a good understanding between people, but it's worth it!  And that is because this is a day to have a little more open-mindedness and consider different ideas, rather than follow the usual frameset of mind...

When a planet reaches an extreme declination in certain parts of its orbit, it leaves this band, i.e. it is more than 23 °1/2 of declination north or south of the Equator, it is "out of bondage", meaning that it goes beyond the normal or conventional way.  Even in the sky we find deviations for the planets! If only they include a sign... at least we would be warned. But that's exactly the purpose of the Galactic Guide!

      In the case of Mercury, this means that the mind and the everyday affairs represented by this small but important planet can get lost a little, manifesting  away from the normal, in unusual ways. Moreover, Mercury simultaneously engages in a powerful parallel  with the Pleiades cluster (M45), stars that rotate at very high speed, indicating an acceleration of time in the mind.

      Thus, the Mercury / Pleiades combination represents a mind directed towards the future. Whether it is a near or distant, future, a visionary quality is enhanced, but it can also imply elusive behavior, procastination and a lack of focus in the here and now.  In a practical sense, we must take care of all sorts of distractions, which could potentially have a chaotic effect in everyday life.  At the global level, it is possible that the collective mind of the masses, public opinion and issues related to information, communication, transport, trade, negotiations and health, all related to Mercury will difficult to control, deviating from their typical manifestation. Whether this causes problems or helps changing  things for the better, it depends on every particular situation, but  we will surely see public opinion adopting more radical positions than usual (yes, more).

     In a more constructive approach, it is possible to use this Mercurial condition to exit the typical routine and take different, creative  paths to get things done, no matter whether they are common or transcendental. This trend is ideal for planning and refresh our mind and ideas, allowing us to deprogram and reprogram our strategies and conscious thoughts before Mercury returns to the zodiac after this brief but significant deviation next July 10th.

June 29/30: Mars ends its retrograde movement in parallel to Pluto and star cluster M41, and at 135 ° from the Sun, enhancing productivity, sexuality and power games

     If Mars' station turns out to be as powerful as Juno's last week, significant events are likely to occur in the world and personally... To begin with, the station point of Mars, where it seems to change direction, is in parallel to star cluster M41. This star cluster is in the constellation Canis Major, with its most prominent star a K-type giant, whose association is with creativity, productivity and sexuality. The star is so bright that it is visually prominent in the center of the cluster in photographs of M41.

    This only accentuates the fact that Mars is in the zodiac sign of Scorpio, whose interests include productivity and sexuality. Definitely, the Mars station points to the management of our creativity and the means we use to express it. It is possible that in some people this trend will manifest as an increased sex drive, but the truth is that this energy can be used constructively in other areas. And we must direct it consciously, since the parallel of Mars with Pluto indicates a transformative and intense trend. If it stays at a purely emotional, passionate or sexual level, it can easily be disturbing. Fortunately, the Sun is at 135 ° or sesquisquare to Mars; so, well directed, the Mars station can mean strength to reach our goals and build something big and solid, difficult to achieve at other moments.

      The Mars / M41 / Pluto parallel may indicate a high level of productivity and creativity, in areas as diverse as business, art or domestic life. In relationships, this trend can be destabilizing because it tends to power games, competition and emotional confrontation, so it is necessary to avoid manipulation and dramas. May 31 / June 1st: Ceres in square to Pluto and the Cat's Eye Nebula reveals intense processes of loss, regeneration and seed, stressing the rejection of a culture of violence

     Aspects between Pluto and Ceres are usually strong because they are enemies in mythology. Pluto (Hades) kidnaps Perséfonoe (Core) daughter of Ceres (Demeter). Ceres pilgrimage in search of her daughter, from a psychological point of view, is a regeneration process that goes through various stages: loss, grief, emptiness, resurrection, fullness. The myth itself is an allegory of the phases of the seasonal cycle on Earth: Ceres is a goddess of agriculture, and in astrological terms she represents the biosphere that hosts us on this planet, and our relationship with it.

     At present, the space mission DAWN is orbiting the asteroid Ceres, an unprecedented feat that allows us to have a closer view of this celestial body. Interestingly, Pluto has also just been analyzed by the New Horizons mission, and given the mythological connection with both celestial bodies, it is interesting that humanity can simultaneously have an approach to both of them. We might also benefit from understanding their astrological effect, which of course is not cause and effect. It must be interpreted as a reflection of the processes that are happening on Earth.


Critical nuances

     The situation is critical in today's civilization, nobody can deny it, and the Pluto / Ceres square proves this. It is a waxing square with Ceres approaching the opposition. But the first quarter phase of their cycle indicates a critical moment, which activates the most intense meaning of the myth of Pluto and Ceres. Whether it manifests through loss or drastic changes, it is necessary to let go of attachments and let the regeneration process flow by itself. Every death is a loss, but it certainly involves new life, just as every new life is scheduled for death. Our entire lives unfold among that process, which we should not fight against, but live at its best.

     Clearly, the Pluto / Ceres square is not a charming trend, and definitely not an easy issue to address, but such is the nature of the astrological process these days. BUt to be able to understand it can explain consciously certain events and perhaps help to get over certain moods, whose range can go from apprehension to nihilism, to resentment, pain and despair. On a more positive approach, this trend can help to end difficult to finish processes, closing chapters so that new life begins and the cycle of prosperity continues.


Tragedies and regeneration

     In the world, this square coincides with the tragic deaths of hundreds of refugees in the Mediterranean Sea. It also will with many other events that will be painful to know about, like the gorilla killed a few days ago in a zoo. Ceres in Aries represents people (and nature) trying to escape from government manipulation (Pluto in Capricorn), which will manifest differently in each country. In some cases, this means losing their own lives in the process. This is nothing new, but this trend may be accentuated over the next few days. Hopefully, these shocks might help us understand that, by neglecting the planet and its inhabitants, we are haeading towrds collapse. This square means the rejection of a culture of violence and extortion, in every possible way. Therefore, many events and protests in relation to it are expected around the world.

    Personally, it is necessary to drop attachments, emotionally as well as worn-out ideas on the mental plane. Materially, it can mean losses, but also unexpected twists in productivity. Changes that are for the better and to improve productivity are also feasible and very favorable during this trend, which is expected to last for a couple of weeks. It is a good time to get rid of what we don't need, although sometimes personal attachments might make this process more difficult. This aspect shows us the areas of our lives in which we must focus the regeneration process, with all the energy that this may imply.


Cat's Eye: the sowing process

     Ceres is also in ecliptic square to the Cat's Eye Nebula, a dying star in the constellation Draco. The Cat's Eye nebula is a complex structure, of intricate and sophisticated beauty. It is surrounded by an outer halo that was expelled by the parent star before entering the planetary nebula phase. And although all planetary nebulae expel their matter into outer space, it is possible to think this is an extremely generous star, as its halo indicates, releasing matter to the universe in advance.

      The Cat's Eye Nebula, being a dying star, also speaks of death, just like the myth of Ceres and Pluto, the planets with which it is connected in a T-square. However, it gives us the key to understand the meaning of this disintegration: the planting of new life. The elements of the Cat's Eye Nebula, before belonging to the parent star, enrich the interstellar medium with more complex elements. The new generations of stars will be formed based on the recycling of the nebula, which holds the experience of previous generations. The Cat's Eye reminds us that the sense of the disintegration we are experiencing is recreation, resurrection.

     Thus, the triangle formed by Ceres / Pluto / Cat's Eye in the sky suggests that at the time of greater emptiness is where fulfillment comes. First as a seed, then as a tree. Illuminate the moments of greater darkness with a small light of hope. It is the time to plant the seeds of the future with love in an empty space, which in turn, will be filled again, if it's our will to do so.

April 17/18: Mars begins its retrograde period in ecliptic conjunction to star cluster M4 and the star Antares, suggesting a resurgence of violence, major financial transactions, an increased productivity, struggles for independence and a recovery of valuable projects

      This time, the Mars retrograde point falls in ecliptic conjunction to two interesting objects: the supergiant star Antares and star cluster M4. A retrograde station is an optical illusion due to the difference in speed of the planets orbiting the Sun. They seem to stop at a specific point and then move backwards; then they seem to stop again and then resume their direct movement. The points where the planets retrograde are called station points, and are like hands of a clock indicating the activation of certain archetypes in the collective and personal unconscious. It is therefore important to analyze the objects to which the planetary station "points" to in order to better understand its specific trend.

     Antares is the brightest star in the constellation Scorpius. It is a red supergiant star of M type whose size is impressive. Placed at the center of our solar system, its surface would reach beyond the orbit of Mars. By the way, its name means "rival of Ares", the God of War in Greek mythology, and was awarded this title in antiquity for its reddish color, similar to Mars'. Such similarity between the star and the planet clearly suggests an excess of energy, which can manifest both in a violent and a constructive way.

       Although this Mars' station on Antares can match particularly violent and destructive events, it may also have a special effect on finances, as M-type stars are related astrologically with the material plane and money. There might be great controversies in the world about the use of money and its investment in the right places. Could it be that finally the role of international finance in armed conflicts will be questioned? Probably something might change, but individually, it is important to invest or inject resources on important projects for us. Some particular area of ​​our lives will require us to invest time, money and energy these days, so it is important to do so while the station point of Mars is "hot", for about a couple of weeks.

    On the other hand, Mars and Antares are very near star cluster M4, a loose cluster which is partially obscured by the dense interstellar dust in the central region of the constellation Scorpius. This suggests an astrological meaning of obstacles to freedom, because the dust is symbolic of obstacles and the dispersion of M4's stars suggestss freedom or little control (of gravity). The fact that Mars' station falls conjunct M4 also involves a struggle for independence and freedom. Those who connect with this level of the Martian station may feel strengthened, and in some cases, required to resolve outstanding issues related to their personal freedom. It is a good time to strengthen independence working on the elements that protect and sustain it.

    But M4 also brings a hidden surprise: a resurrected pulsar! A pulsar is a neutron star that remains as residue from a supernova explosion. These pulsars spin at high speed, which diminishes over time. Some, such as M4, sometimes meet normal stars and, like vampires, they begin to absorb their atmosphere. This mass transfer accelerates the pulsar's rotation at much higher speeds than they had at first,  and that's why they are considered to be "resurrected". Astrologically, they are related to the revival of projects. Mars' Station on M4, with its resurrected pulsar, indicates a huge reservoir of energy that can be used to revive and revitalize specific, stagnating areas of our lives or past projects that need vitality, right now, in the here and now of the present.

     It is therefore an excellent time to revive good strategies that were incomplete in the recent or distant past. The impulse of the Mars station is a real energy catapult, and if we use it to promote important projects, the results can be excellent during the next eight weeks or so. Such is the impulse of Mars, so we really need to take advantage of it! Retrograde Mars will last until June 29, 2016, so that we will have more than two months whether to strengthen our personal freedom, to  increase activity in finance and productivity, or to reactivate important projects in our lives.

     Or perhaps we'll need to do all these tasks?

April 14/15: Ceres transits the equinoctial point in contra parallel to Jupiter, Uranus and galaxy M49, asking to balance the excesses of the economic system both personally and internationally

     The ongoing  triple parallel of Jupiter, Uranus and galaxy M49 is spectacular, and represents a remarkable tendency to renewal, both personally and internationally. M49 is a very bright galaxy, which tends to attract attention: it was the first to be discovered in its group. Of course, this astrological event is related to the phenomenon of Panama Papers, which exposes the mechanisms of capitalism, so well represented by Jupiter and Uranus.

    Whatever happens in the world, it is important to channel this trend also individually: it is a strong impulse that can bring positive changes in our lives. It is therefore an ideal moment to renew, to make repairs, to get rid of old stuff,to  change procedures, to experience in new territories, to expand our horizons... The brightness of M49 symbolizes light, vision, consciousness, which is making a lot of people conscious of the mechanisms of change and renewal as well. Uranus can bring drastic changes, but the presence of Jupiter reveals it can be for good and represent growth.

    On the other hand, we have to Ceres across the Celestial Equator, in a daring contra parallel to this spectacular trio. Ceres is also transiting in ecliptic conjunction to the vernal point, the point where the spring equinox happens. This in itself is a very important event for the world! Ceres has a strong presence in the present cosmic drama and comes showing us the enormous need to balance the excesses of Jupiter and Uranus.

     At the international level, Ceres, which represents Mother Nature, stands at a point which makes a strong counterweight to the symbols of overwhelming capitalism. It should be noted that currently,  minor planet Ceres is being orbited and photographed by the space probe DAWN, so, somehow, it had never been so close to humanity. And we need it very much now!

    If Mother Nature does a balance with these gas giants and giant M49, it means that we must make an effort to change the huge imbalance produced by an economic system based on exploitation and not in harmony with the environment. It is a time when mankind can only see this truth in a very straightforward way. The changes we can make are many, some may not be immediately feasible, but what is important is to become aware of how our attitudes and personal habits are involved in a network of situations that eventually end up damaging the environment and threatening survival of our species and many more. It is an ideal moment to question our real connection with nature and become aware, thanks to M49, of our actual positive or negative impact on the environment.

     If we want a better world, we must fight for it, but the best place to start this heroic path is oneself. Changes can be positive, but we have to implement them practically. If an individual is able to change their habits, he/she is able to change the planet. If you have control over yourself your effect on the mass of people is enriching and not complacent with the competitive and destructive system that we are sustaining.

    Does this sound revolutionary? Such is the effect of the Jupiter / Uranus combination. Both planets have been doing a set of parallel and antiscia lately, which will fade in the coming weeks, but that will surely leave an important mark in History through international events and our personal lives.
