February 26/27: The Solar Eclipse conjunct Neptune and parallel to star cluster M50 reinforces our idealism and tests it on the practical plane

Very few solar eclipses occur in conjunction with Neptune, and even less when this planet is in its own zodiacal sign: Pisces. The solar eclipse of February 26, 2017 falls in the 8th degree of Pisces, with, say, the owner of the house just beside: Neptune is at 11° of Pisces, in a close conjunction, irremediably implicated into the event's story. Seen in another way, it is as if Neptune was the host of the cosmic event that is the eclipse, as it "receives" it in its own home, Pisces. What does the Solar Eclipse / Neptune / Pisces combination mean?

Let 's analyze the host of this meeting: we know by astrological experience that Neptune depicts an idealist, with a need to transcend the material plane that can also cause some confusion and dispersion, or even evasion and victimization. But its best intention is to transcend the gross temporality of the material plane, particularly through altruistic actions, since it is an empathic creature. If the eclipse happens in the house of such a personality, it is expected that these Neptunian themes are of great relevance in the coming months, and in the collective and individual, it will be necessary to work on them. Both the creative, imaginative, idealistic, inspiring part of Neptune, as well as its disappointing, chaotic, escapist and victimizing side will manifest intensely during the following  6 months. This represents a good opportunity, collective and individual, to correct the confusing side and to take advantage of the creative side of this situation.

It is clear that humanity needs to develop a more empathic consciousness if it wishes to survive: the aggression of humans, to each other and to the planet where they live is caused by an illusion of "otherness", in which the other is an enemy with which it is necessary to compete. "We are all one" may sound idealistic, but from the immensity of the Cosmos, humanity is one and there does not seem to be a great difference between its multiple members. From a distance, things look different from how we see them in front of our noses. Neptune, the farthest gaseous giant planet, gives us that perspective simply because it is far enough from the Sun to make us contemplate things that way. The eclipse will only emphasize this reality, which is as true as our daily life, just placed on another dimension, less conscious, of our existence. On the other hand, where negative Neptunian conditions are likely to arise, frauds will be exposed, scandals will blast the news, humanitarian crises will intensify, religious and political extremism will rule...

Nothing new under Neptune's Sun, but the Sun is eclipsed by the Moon... ¿Sounds familiar?

That's as far as concerns the host Neptune. But what does his guest, the Annular Eclipse of the Sun, bring to the meeting? The eclipse happens in parallel to M50, a star cluster  in the constellation Monoceros (the Unicorn) and whose symbolism suggests a strong impulse to materialize ideas. M 50 has a majority of type-B stars, of high temperature, which represent the intellectual plane. However, it has a lone, very prominent red giant star that stands out against the white-blue backdrop of its type B companions. Of considerably lower temperature, type-M stars represent the material plane and the physical body rather than abstract thoughts. Hence, the particular combination of B and M stars of M50 suggests the meaning of materializing ideas, or giving a concrete value to them, to make them grounded.

The fact that the Solar -but sooo Neptunian- Eclipse occurs in a powerful parallel to M50 reveals the need to materialize the good plans, ideas, projects and strategies that have been in mind for a long time, or perhaps just a little. In this context, M50 symbolizes the practical part that Neptune sometimes misses, dreaming a lot but sometimes finding it difficult to make the practical effort to make dreams come true... In this way, the eclipse signals the start of a good semester to work hard in the materialization of our plans. We can have excellent results!

And it is precisely the practical implementation of plans that can make us see if our Neptunian ideals, with all their creativity, are viable or disconnected from reality. Plans that cannot easily materialize may need a change of focus, and we must let go of ego attachments to concepts or ideas that just block advancement. What a better teacher than practice itself! For those who want to learn, the semester has already begun...

August 5/6: Mercury conjunct galaxy M96 and contra parallel Neptune indicates a balance between reason and imagination, as well as extravagant ideas and communication problems

A contra parallel between two planets with opposite characteristics can indicate a great balance. In this case, there is a balance between the intuition and imagination, typical of Neptune, and the logical and rational thought associated to Mercury. In any case, Mercury's rapid transit can bring some logic to confusing situations, so we will be able to better understand and integrate our experiences. It is a good time to clarify our reality through a rational and objective approach.

However, it is not expected that this balance results in common, typical viewpoints. Quite the contrary, it is possible that, just to clarify things, it will be necessary to take a very personal and individual position, and therefore different from what most people think. This is suggested by Mercury, which is simultaneously conjunct galaxy M96, located in the constellation Leo.

The spiral structure of M96 is extremely asymmetrical, which symbolizes originality, independence, but also a lack of coordination and attitudes "out of place". Considering that the entire combination includes Neptune, it is not difficult to see that strange idea smay arise, wrong interpretations, forgetfulness, distractions, complications for teamwork and communication in general, so caution must be taken. On a more positive note, there may be a great inspiration, as well as art as for science: great, very original ideas and viewpoints can come to light of our consciousness. In worldly matters, extravagant and out of context ideas will be exposed, as well as unusual news about unclear situations (yes,in this age of information overload!).

In anyt case, we must bear in mind that our personal perception may not match that of other people around. It is very likely that, in some cases, we will need to invest an extra effort to ensure a good understanding between people, but it's worth it!  And that is because this is a day to have a little more open-mindedness and consider different ideas, rather than follow the usual frameset of mind...

February 28/29: The Sun in ecliptic conjunction to Neptune and the North America Nebula emphasizes the drama in our lives, making us reach extremes of transcendence and deception

Once a year, the Sun transits conjunct the farthest gaseous planet, Neptune, starting a new cycle of angular relationships between them. As the start of a cycle is actually the seed of the potential to be developed later, it is important to determine the conditions of that moment to make an estimate of its consequences.

However, the symbolism inherent in the combination of  both celestial bodies is always present in all astrological cycles... The Sun represents our consciousness, our identity, our ego and has a realistic approach to circumstances. Neptune, on the other hand, is associated with the transcendent part of life, whether through imagination, spirituality, psychology, art, altruism, social commitment, or, in a negative sense, through false expectations, deceptions, disappointments, sacrifice, victimization and evasion. The Sun and Neptune have contrasting astrological meanings, which can balance their respective trends, creating a counterweight between realism and imagination, between ego and spirituality, ultimately generating a transcendent consciousness. But they  can also interfere with each other, creating false expectations, strong delusions, inflated egos and psychotic tendencies. Where goes the combination Sun / Neptune on this occasion?

In 2016, the Sun and Neptune begin their annual period in ecliptic conjunction to the North America Nebula, a vast star-forming region in the constellation Cygnus, the Swan. This one is a unique event because it will not be repeated in 165 years ... This nebula, whose silhouette vaguely suggests the form of the northern part of the American continent, is characterized by having a relative strong brightness, contrasting visually with the dark dust clouds around  in photographs. Therefore, any factor associated with the North America Nebula tends to stand out, to be obvious, to be promoted.

The fact that the Sun / Neptune conjunction happens with the North America Nebula as a backdrop implies that both positive and negative manifestations of this combination will become obvious. Many frauds and deceptions, both personally and politically, will come to light. In particular, political propaganda, which promotes false ideals to win votes at the expense of people's illusions, will be exacerbated without any doubt. But the falsity of claims will also be exposed. In the art world, this conjunction coincides with the delivery of the Oscars, which promises a memorable event, as bright as the North America Nebula, since Neptune rules the film industry ... but we must not rule out some disappointments. Other manifestations and artistic events worldwide can participate in the splendor indicated by this astrological combination during the days to come.

Beyond the artistic or political glamor exposed in the media, typical of the combination Sun / Neptune, this trend may act as a very effective distraction to divert the public's attention from serious problems, indicated by the preceding conjunction Ceres / Neptune a few days ago (see related article in the Galactic Guide). Among them we can mention pollution, the refugee crisis, political fraud and social, financial and public health problems... nothing new.  On a more positive sense, it is possible that, with their tendency to illuminate, the Sun and the North America Nebula will expose these problems and bring out the way forward to find effective solutions, generating more awareness of the problems humanity is facing... Insanity and delusion might be accentuated, or perhaps they will disappear abruptly, letting us see reality as it is and not as we would like it to be. And all this will happen in our minds, of course.

On a more personal level, the Sun / Neptune / North America Nebula combination indicates an excellent time to develop our creativity, out of the routine of everyday life. While some people might take this as a pretext for evasion, it is possible to use imagination creatively to give it a realistic approach and manifest externally, avoiding ideas to remain idle in our brains. Meditative or psychoanalytic activities can bring to light important insights that can change the course of our lives. It is an ideal moment to transcend our personal ego and channel our energies towards important goals that transcend our little aversions, preferences and attachments. It is important to express positively our good ideas and talents as well as to avoid exaggeration, egocentric displays and vain, dramatic exhibitions.

The need to give a transcendent framework to our lives will predominate, whether engulfing our minds on deception and inflated, false egos or deploying the resources of our imagination and creativity. And it's us, not the North America Nebula nor any other, who will decide which direction to follow... Get ready for the spectacle, because in any case, we are the protagonists of our own lives and  the dramatic tones will be highlighted.

Enjoy the show!

February 21/22: Neptune and Ceres conjunct the North America Nebula expose serious damage to nature, inviting us to transform the patterns of abuse into an ecological awareness

Every 5 years or so, Neptune and Ceres renew their synodic cycle, which means that they are in ecliptic conjunction, with their relative positions in the same degree of the tropical zodiac. This is a significant event astrologically, not only because it is rare, but because the archetypal connection of both celestial bodies involved is particularly intense.

A myth rooted in abuse

Mythology brings us the story of Demeter and Poseidon, the Greek gods who are the equivalent of Ceres and Neptune in Rome. After experiencing the abduction of her daughter Persephone, Demeter began a painstaking search to locate her. Amid this, Poseidon courts and is rejected by Demeter, who, to escape the sea god's siege, transforms into a mare. But Poseidon discovers her, tranforming into a horse, and finally rapes her. From that moment on, the goddess of nature manifests as "Demeter the Fury", outraged by such an event.

That's how the myth's story goes. In fact, as mentioned by the writer and myth expert Robert Graves in his book The Greek Myths, Volume 1, it seems to describe a Helenic invasion of Arcadia in Greece, in the times in which Greek culture was experiencing a slow and painful transition from a matriarchal to a patriarchal system. The Hellenic leaders, worshipers of Poseidon, took over the temples of Demeter in the area, where she was worshiped as a horse-head goddess. The title "Demeter the Fury" certainly refers to the feeling of outrage among locals, who were forced to change their worship and customs. Although this event took place thousands of years ago, the Greek culture remains an important source of our civilization, and such traumatic events are still fresh in the collective unconscious, since its consequences have not been modified, but rather recycled over the centuries under different scenarios.

In short, the reference to the Demeter / Poseidon combination points to the use of force, abuse and resentment. Although it's not the only mythological reference to such savage customs, nor the only possible manifestation of the archetypal relationship, it confronts us with the destructive impulses of human beings and their consequences. Thus, when Ceres and Neptune (the celestial bodies) are in conjunction, starting a new cycle, they emphasizie a new opportunity, either to repeat the same patterns of power and abuse that have been going on for centuries, or to take a new direction.

Damage to nature and environmental awareness

The issues raised in this regard are definitely related to the crisis of our civilization and its sick relationship with nature. Ceres represents the biosphere, while Neptune is associated with all that is artificial. Therefore, the combination of both celestial bodies shows the critical condition in which global pollution and destruction of ecosystems is nowadays, including the reaction of outrage from those who have an ecological consciousness.

The pattern is the same as  it was four thousand years ago. The difference is that now our planet is full of garbage, and humans have triggered a mass extinction.

The conjunction of Neptune and Ceres happens in the same degree of the zodiac in which we find the North America Nebula, an emission nebula in the northern constellation Cygnus, the Swan. This nebula is so named because its shape suggests the outline of North America, with its "Gulf of Mexico" and "Florida." The main characteristic of this nebula is that it's very bright, contrasting sharply with other regions of ionized gas and dust clouds around. Therefore, it represents exposure, visibility. Any factor associated with this nebula gets highlighted, exposed, as if it was at the very center of a stage, with spotlights on.  And, in astrological terms, light means awareness.

Therefore, this astrological combination implies an increase in environmental awareness: it will be impossible to ignore the destruction around us. And although there have always been such events in human history, any abuses taking place around the start of this new cycle Ceres / Neptune, a few weeks before or after, will acquire a particularly intense hue. As an example, the case of the baby dolphin that was taken from the sea in Argentina and killed by a crowd that wanted to take selfies with him,  is very significant in this respect. And there are many more, and will be for sure other cases like this, we will know about them in the news of the coming weeks!

Demeter the Fury

However, the crucial thing here is our reaction to these incidents, and how we modify our behavior in this regard. As the conjunction occurs in the zodiacal sign of Pisces, a Neptunian territory, we can see this conjunction as the indicator of a strong crisis, where the damage caused by pollution, abuse, intolerance and unconsciousness is emphasized. We will see parading before our eyes extreme news about humanitarian disasters: refugees being abused, nature being destroyed, social injustice, deteriorating economies, extreme pollution, death of innocent animals and ignorance gaining strength.

Perhaps humans have to reach these extremes in order to react.  "Demeter´s fury" will certainly be expressed through public outrage about disastrous events, but we are approaching a point at which this reaction should go beyond a simple demonstration. Action is needed, both collectively and individually, to stop destruction. To stay passively watching the world being destroyed is equivalent to actively participate in this process. The fury of the goddess can and must be transformed into action, questioning, changing attitudes, not only at a social level, but within each individual.

North America Nebula: a symbol of destructive capitalism

What can be done? We can change our habits, try to be properly informed on how to live without polluting. We can become aware of how our consumption habits support this destructive machinery, we can endorse movements that hinder the greed of companies that promote indiscriminate profit ... Maybe these destructive corporations are also  symbolized by the North America Nebula, considering that most of the concentration of capital that produces this damage is precisely in this region of the Earth.

The North America Nebula can also symbolize, in its most negative manifestation, the voracity of the capitalist machinery that destroys anything in order to have gains. Ultimately, the most destructive factor in the Neptunian scheme is ignorance:  the veil that we have before our eyes and that alienates our mind through distractions that keep us from seeing reality. But once a person wakes up, there is no way back.

Whether we support nature, or are against it, there are no midpoints. Wherever we live on Earth, and whatever our decision, our attitude will be highlighted and obvious. Every individual on this small planet has a responsibility about it. This is the scheme that will predominate in the five years to come, until the next conjunction Neptune / Ceres in 2021. Will we arrive to that date even more damaged and polluted, or during these next five years we will be able to make the necessary shift to save us from drowning in a sea of garbage and destruction?

The answer is in our hands.

February 11/12: Venus in ecliptic conjunction to the pulsar duo 1913+16 indicates intense relationships, magnetic attractions that need to be handled with care

February 11/12: Venus in ecliptic conjunction to the pulsar duo 1913+16, at 45° from Neptune.

When pulsars meet, they generate intense and dynamic bonds. A pulsar is the remnant of a massive star that exploded as a supernova. They are among the densest objects in the universe and they usually have strong magnetic fields. At times, they happen to meet in  interstellar space another pulsar and they start orbiting each other, forming a dynamic duo. Today's transit of Venus in ecliptic conjunction to one of such pairs suggests intense, influential relationships, magnetic encounters that generate action, proyects and leave a permanent mark on us. Union means strength!

However, we should be careful to use the adequate dosage, as an excess of energy and density might end in a destructive power game. Moreover, Venus is at 45° from Neptune, and even though this is excellent for the arts and psychoanalysis, it can also distort the perspective in our relationships and generate disagreements, confusion and deceptions after such influential encounters. With our feet on the ground and the proper dosage, this trend can bring regenerative, fruitful exchanges that might boost our development.

September 1/2: Venus in contra parallel to Neptune and star cluster M26 shows the possibility of harmonizing difficult situations and reflect on the barriers that separate us as a society

September 1/2: Venus in contra parallel to star cluster M26.

Connections between Venus and Neptune usually bring an exaltation of emotions and relationships, as both planets symbolize the beginning of empathy and love, whether personal or universal. Their combination may involve a good deal of affection, inspiration, cooperation and communion, or at the other end, of idealization, confusion and disappointment. Since a contra parallel suggests balance, with both planets at the same distance from the Celestial Equator, the events related to this trend can help balance our relations, emotional life and creativity.

On the other hand, the star cluster M26, located in the constellation Scutum (the Shield) has many stars of spectral type B and A, mix that symbolizes a great need to express ideas, to manifest, to be heard. M26 is also characterized by a dark dust cloud blocking the light from its center. This cloud has a cross-shaped structure, emphasizing the idea of obstacles to overcome. M26 is a cluster that symbolizes good ideas that need to be expressed, breaking resistance and obstacles, personal or other people's...

Neptune has been making a parallel with M26 for about a couple of weeks, giving a hint of sensitivity to the difficulties represented by this cluster. At the international level, this combination coincides with the tragedy of migrants in various parts of the world, notably in the Middle East, North Africa and Europe, but also in other parts. Neptune is the ruler of the sea, and M26 symbolizes the great need to break barriers, borders and difficulties, whether through a sacrifice that ends in the deaths of many... Still, being swallowed by the sea, illegal migrants transcend anyway, because they are leaving behind the barriers symbolized by M26. This obviously has a deep meaning for our society and questions its foundations. In social networks and media, circulating photos of drowning, hopeless people expose openly the fragility and cruelty of humanity.

What is the consciousness of this giving us as individuals, as a society? Mainly, the acceptance of the fact that we have to break barriers between humans to prevent them to be broken in heartbreaking ways. Economic, ideological, political and religious boundaries keep human society in discord, making us forget that we are all one, and one with the planet in which we live. If this sounds highly idealistic, perhaps it matches the mental nature of the B-type stars of M26, which are of very high temperature and whose idealism is strong enough to prompt the release of a dystopian reality at the cost of life itself. The elusive nature of Neptune strongly encourages the oppressed idealism to M26, promising an escape. But Neptune can also be misleading, the ocean it rules is a giant compared to the precariousness of migrants, who are subject to the worst risks on their journeys.

At the individual level, we may also have to break barriers in the personal context, and no one better than Venus (in contra parallel to Neptune and M26) to overcome them diplomatically. Venus, making a fleeting contra parallel to Neptune, balances with an empathetic attitude and a more earthly approach the difficulties in understanding between people. Today, it is a good moment to clear confusion and misunderstandings, avoiding the problems between people to go worse. Obviously, we must take a diplomatic attitude for this: kindness will do a marvelous job. Hopefully, this kindness might be manifested in governments and organizations that must address the humanitarian crisis in the world... As Venus governs certain economic aspects of life as well as social relations in general, significant donations and support for the solution of this terrible problem might happen..

On the other hand, Venus and Neptune rule the arts, so it's a great day to express all the inspiration that might have been blocked for weeks or maybe months... Artists in particular can take advantage of this trend infusing themselves with lots of inspiration and materializing good ideas, but everyone can actually use it to give a touch of harmony to any difficult, blocked, confusing, disappointing, situations ...

The transit of Venus and Neptune in contra parallel to M26 does not last long, but it can be helpful to reflect about our position on the tragedies of the world and what we are actually doing to help reverse this process. It has to start happening within us, the stars only reflect our reality and indicate its status. We should't lose the opportunity to make it more loving, now when it's so much needed!

March 5/6: Two simultaneous contra parallels demand balance, justice and moderation in relationships: Sun / Venus and Juno / Neptune

March 5/6: Neptune in contra parallel to Juno, in parallel to star cluster M26. The Sun and star cluster M48 in contra parallel to Venus.

When Juno and Neptune are in contra parallel, they are balancing their forces, and this may indicate  disappointing relations as well as excellent ones, depending on the context in which this manifests and how it is managed. In a personal context, close relationships can be disappointing if you have unfulfilled expectations. Neptune is in a powerful parallel to star cluster M26, which, obscured  to some extent by a cloud that blocks the light from its center, represents obstacles or hidden things. Therefore, it is likely  that the unmet needs in relationships will become evident during these days, becoming aware of disappointing aspects we had overlooked in others.

However, try to make no claims or react with too much energy: becoming aware of people as they are, is more than enough. Juno tends to react by making claims. Even more so now, as it is in applicative conjunction with star cluster M93, whose G-type stars indicate the need to fight and assert themselves. Then, excessive energy applied to complaints about unfulfilled commitments can cause more problems rather than correcting them. Instead of claims, we must seek balance. Nor would it be good to take or allow victimizing attitudes or deliberately evasive patterns. But we need moderation: acting too hard in some cases can hurt when it is not necessary.

The best is to face reality and act accordingly. If relationships are not balanced, we must balance them ourselves. If they are not, probably we must rethink or dissolve the engagement. This can greatly affect relationships, whether they are marriage, business, friendship, or even within the family or neighborhood. The adjustments made can give a necessary and positive for our relations in general turn. This contra parallel between Neptune and Juno will be active until Sunday / next Monday, so take advantage... In sociopolitical terms, this astrological combination implies that deceptive or fraudulent contracts and associations come to light, putting in evidence situations that can build up to become scandals. This can also coincide with significant breaks between companies, institutions, social factions, or countries.

Moreover, this same astrological combination planet, asteroid and star clusters is excellent for artistic relations, since it involves a context of much inspiration that comes to light, caused by teamwork. This can extend to other contexts outside the art and include other relations whose bond of union is the same transcendental vision, an identification with the same philosophical or mystical ideals, etc. Long, interesting, memorable talks and encounters are likely to happen during these days.

There is another astrological combination simultaneously in effect: theSun and star cluster M48 are in contra parallel to Venus, symbolizing the need to balance excesses of power and selfishness in relationships. While this is true, the combination of Venus and the Sun to the star cluster M48 can be very passionate. The stars of M48 are attention-grabbing; the brightest has 70 times the Sun's luminosity. Clearly, this trend is about breaking egocentrism and opening up a bit more to others empathetically. On the contrary, people that are usually too cooperative will perhaps need to strengthen their will and ego: this would be a good time to make important decisions. But overall it's about finding a happy midpoint between an excessive ego and overly permissive attitudes. This trend will last until March 6/7 and accompanies, and in some cases will be mixed with the above described Juno / Neptune combination.

Definitely these days require balance and the best attitude that we may have to avoid problems is moderation. Our minds might touch extremes, but the solution outlined in the Cosmos, at least for a few days, is, justice, balance, equilibrium. And we should look for them in order to move forward.

February 2/3: Uranus, the South Lunar Node and star cluster M3 reverse stagnant situations, while Venus, Neptune and the Pelican Nebula sublimates instinctual energy into creativity and harmony

February 2/3: Uranus conjunct the South Node Lunar and the globular cluster M3. This combination describes a significant release of situations that prevent development on many levels. Uranus, which orbits the Sun upside-down, literally lying on its orbit, indicates a significant shift over the South Luna Node, symbolizing the past and inertia. It is therefore an excellent time to give a turning point to attitudes, projects and situations that come from the past and need an update. To follow the inertia of the past few years, months or weeks may be normal to some extent, but now it is likely that circumstances require a different attitude from us. It's a good opportunity to release and renew. And a good time to organize farewell parties!

In a less psychological and more practical approach, it is a good time to start or to continue with repairs. The South Node and Uranus are in opposition to M3, a star cluster in the constellation Canes Venatici, and this reveals the possibility of servicing situations that have been postponed for one reason or another. M3 is a very old cluster, and contains many variable stars, symbolizing instability, decay, things that are old and do not function well anymore. The amount of energy invested in changing things at home or at work will depend on each particular situation, but renewing dynamically stagnant situations will bring very good results. Of course, this is further favored with Mercury retrograde. Let'sget to work on pending issues, then....

M3 also represents insecurity, so many people will enter into a dynamic of confrontation with their own weak areas. M3, despite its many variable stars, has a huge volume and its apparent size in the terrestrial firmament is big: it can be seen with the naked eye in ggod conditions. Therefore, it implies great strength, but inside there is insecurity. The process to get out of a situation like this is releasing the traumatic events of the past (Uranus and South Node) to go ahead with a new mental and emotional programming. If the past remains unresolved, the future has trouble finding space where to land in our minds and hearts.

On the other hand, using elements o rmeeting with people from the past or old acquaintances can bring surprises, most of them enjoyable, although it is possible that some of the insecurities mentioned will surface. Anyway, it's an opportunity to take a different attitude and overcome them. This will not be so easy in the international arena: Uranus conjunct the South Node Lunar represents the resistance to change strategy expressed by rebel groups and governments as well. However, it is expected that in some cases Uranus will give a positive spin to many circumstances. In other cases, the shift may be towards greater violence and repression around the world and a great destructiveness. Outdated policies will certainly be uncovered and fall by themselves, as part of the long process of the Uranus / Pluto square we have experienced in the last four years ... culminating in 2015.

But the week brings another surprise with an equally important aspect: Venus in parallel to Neptune, and conjunct the Pelican Nebula. The Venus / Neptune combination indicates a sublimation of emotions, which is particularly favorable in the artistic, sexual, loving, romantic, social, mystical and psychoanalytical planes. However, take into account that both planets are in ecliptic conjunction with the Pelican Nebula, symbolizing privacy due to its low reflectivity. It's not about exposing the experiences encountered if we connect with this trend ... Rather, it is best to live them discreetly.

However, caution should be exercised: Neptune usually indicates disappointments, though not necessarily immediate. The Pelican Nebula, despite being composed of cold gas, is becoming "evaporated" by the heat of young stars that are close. This represents projects, ideas, emotions that begin to "warm up", and motivation is here to move things forward. But if expectations are not based in reality, then there may be disappointments in a more or less near future ... as much in love as artistically and in social relationships, and even in economic terms (the regencies of Venus ). To benefit from this trend without risking, you better have a realistic approach at all times and experience the enthusiasm, motivation and creativity implied by Venus and Neptune  while the mind is watching ... as if it was a movie.

After all, sublimating Venus with its higher octave (Neptune) means transforming our emotional and instinctual impulses into constructive action, beautifying, harmonizing, with altruistic actions and a transcendant approach. Do not let this powerful impulse stagnate! Being able to express this astrological trend in our daily lives is an achievement in itself, so do not look for more reward than this satisfaction or seek ulterior motives...

I wish you a very revolutionary and harmonious week ...

Ceres teams with Neptune, star cluster M69 and the Silk Worm Nebula, favoring altruistic actions, artistic inspiration, productivity and highlighting the value of ecology

January 23/24: Ceres at 60° from Neptune, conjunct star cluster M69 and parallel to the Silk Worm Nebula

The most important aspect today is undoubtedly the Ceres / Neptune contact in terms of a sextile, a friendly relationship between two planets whose mythological connection is conflicting. This kindness can mean helping those in need, as the aspects indicates altruistic actions. On the other hand, since Neptune represents the arts (through its connection to imagination), it is also a favorable day for art projects, as well as those that deal with the human unconscious through mysticism, psychoanalysis, etc. In general, this combination suggests working on specific elements necessary to materialize good ideas. In this combination, Ceres gives structural support to the scattered genius of Neptune.

Ceres, in turn, is in ecliptic conjunction to star cluster M69, a globular cluster in the constellation Sagittarius whose metallicity is very high. Metallicity is the amount of elements heavier than hydrogen and helium, which in astrological terms represents something that is valued more for its scarcity, such as gold, silver, etc. The clusters with high metallicity as M69, correspond to situations in which the value rises. This may be good for some in terms of convenience, as it represents abundance, but if the price of some foods increases, it's sad news for those who have less. Fortunately, Ceres is in a position to give and inject support where needed, and a lack somewhere in the world is balanced by abundance in another place.

Ceres is in parallel with the Silkworm Nebula, a star in the last phase of its life, also located in the constellation of Sagittarius. The Silk Worm Nebula is a proto-planetary nebula, a star that is initiating the process of disintegration as it begins to expel its mass into outer space. It is a phase of preparation for a subsequent deployment of ejecta which is usually spectacular. The Silkworm is so called because it suggests the image of a worm wrapped in a cocoon, which is the star wrapped in a dark cloud of its own creation. It is a preparation phase, so this seems to indicate that it is a great time to prepare strategies and structure plans that will not be implemented immediately. In any case, Ceres in parallel to the Silk Worm Nebula suggests the option of taking the right time to set things up rather than deal with them impulsively without the adequate elements at hand. Even more so with Mercury retrograde already going on!

As the mythological theme that unites Ceres and Neptune is abuse -there is a dishonorable violation involved, it ispossible that in many parts of the world this issue will have an unusual intensity for people. Protests to abusive situations may have a particular strength, even in an era marked by the Uranus / Pluto square. As Ceres represents food, there will probably some victories of  civil associations against companies that pollute the environment (Ceres is Mother Nature). Maybe we may hear some good news regarding the efforts to combat pollution on the planet! Or help animals and endangered forests as well.

In another scenario, the Ceres / M69 combination can match an increase in productivity in some cases. If this occurs, then the relationship with Neptune can be counterproductive, as it tends to dispersion in situations that need to generate results in a structured manner. The idea is to get inspired while being practical,  things are taking shape, and this can be very motivating. Assessment of effort, creativity, work, indicated by Ceres / M69 may lead to satisfying results at the end of the day.

Most satisfaction on a personal level can come from the feeling of having done something good for someone, for the world, or for oneself. Ceres is conjunct M69 approximately every four years, so now is the time to assess what our connection to the largest asteroid in our solar system represents: productivity, income, the connection to the environment, ecology, nutrition. Do not waste the opportunity to do something good for Ceres' themes! And let's honor Mother Earth in any of her manifestations.

March 26/27: Mercury, Jupiter and star cluster M26 help overcome obstacles by expanding the mental horizon, while the Sun, the Horsehead Nebula and Neptune expose hidden contents

March 26/27: Mercury is trine Jupiter, in parallel to star cluster M26. This trend is idea lto overcome   limits and obstacles, particularly in matters concerning communication, study and travel. The Mercury/Jupiter combination is excellent for developing a more optimistic approach to circumstances and for expanding the mental horizon, which is of great importance, because the cluster M26 is involved in this astrological combination. Cluster M26, despite having many very bright stars of type B, which stimulate the mind and intellect, is obscured in its center by a dense cloud of interstellar dust. This hinders the passage of light, at least in its central part, and therefore represents difficulties. So, the fabulous trine between Mercury and Jupiter, with its characteristic optimism, suggests impediments being overcome. It is therefore ideal for breaking communication barriers, for making repairs to your automobile, television and internet connections, for solving academic problems, for finding the necessary information to research, study, write... And above all, to do mental or physical travel, whose effect is aimed to expand our vision and find opportunities where we previously only saw limits ... This transit doesn't last long, so don't waste the opportunity!

On the other hand, the Sun transits Neptune in a semisextile (30°-distance), in contra parallel to the Horsehead Nebula. This trend brings to light unconscious or unclear issues. The Sun, by its natural brightness, as seen from Earth, is an exhibitionist by nature. The Horsehead Nebula is a dark nebula, as it consists mainly of dense interstellar dust clouds. However, its silhouette, which resembles the head of a horse, is strongly highlighted by the ultraviolet radiation of the background of ionized clouds, mainly coming from the nearby star Zeta Orionis. This acts as a brilliant backdrop that exposes and highlights its dark body, right at the center of the cosmic stage. Meanwhile, Neptune, which represents thge unconscious, or unclear issues, normally hidden behind a veil of confusion, is caught between the Sun and the Horsehead , being inevitably exposed to public scrutiny...

This can have several concrete manifestations, ranging from financial scandals, particularly revealing dreams, extraordinary psychoanalytic sessions, spiritual illumination, to deep insights, creative visualizations, as well as distorted philosophies, corrupt policies and errors that are painfully obvious and publicly exposed. For the arts, this trend is superb for both rehearsals and performances, which bring to light the highly creative, artistic and imaginative part of Neptune. If you have something to hide or need privacy and discretion, you must now make a double effort to remain unnoticed. However, if you want to promote something artistic, spiritual or psychological, this is an excellent time... Of course, the highest manifestation of such an exhibitionist trend is through a revealing dialogue with the personal or collective unconscious, which definitely will result in a growth in awareness.

Knowing this, you are now in a suitable position to decide how these trends will be expressed in your personal life. Stellar objects do not force us to behave in a certain way, because, contrary to popular belief, they do not have an influence on us. They are only accurate indicators of our timimg, majestic mirrors our reality through synchronicity. As for us, we do have the power to decide, to a large extent, on what happens in our lives. Or at least, we were born with that right. Let's put it into practice!

November 7/8: Mercury retrograde conjunct the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy (M83 ) and parallel to Neptune confuses and shocks, inspires and fertilizes, intensifies and reveals before changing direction

November 7/8: Mercury retrograde is in ecliptic conjunction to Galaxy M83, the Southern Pinwheel, and parallel to Neptune and the Saturn Nebula.  M83, located in the constellation Hydra, is one of the most special in our cosmic neighborhood , as six supernovae have been detected in its interior. This places it as an indicator of drastic change. It represents an intense and accelerated evolutionary impulse, so that when a planet transits M83, we can expect anything but stability. Even if it's Mercury retrograde, which involves alterations in our ideas and plans in our everyday life. It is likely that everything ends "upside down ", and many plans won´t go as expected.

Given this, we need to remain calm and not to be impressed by the unexpected, as it can greatly alter our emotions and our mental stability. More even so when Mercury retrograde already is in parallel with Neptune, which tends to confuse, to coincide with precision errors, oversights and complications. To prevent problems, if you still have the opportunity to do so, it is better to postpone the realization of sensitive issues for next week, when Mercury resumes its direct motion. Meanwhile, we must take advantage of this astrological combination that so far, has left many knocked out during the day.

What can we do about it? The same M83 shows us the way through its characteristics. First, the fact that it has many supernovae: although this might shake us strongly, it also involves great insights, due to their strong X -ray and Gamma-ray emission. It is a moment to review situations or issues that have not been fully resolved and then have important leaps of consciousness. To assume real facts may be disturbing, but becoming aware of things will certainly give us greater control over them, so we can solve them more easily than if we walk blindly forwards. On the other hand, M83 is a particularly fertile galaxy as it is forming many stars,  many of whom are actually babies (called Wolf- Rayet stars). This indicates the opening or the emergence of new possibilities options not considered so far. It is therefore necessary to be very attentive to them to see the way out once the dust settles and we are able to respond in a better way to external or internal chaos.

We may be confronted with dramatic, worsening situations, where there is a downward spiral since Neptune and Mercury are also in parallel to the Saturn Nebula, which is actually a dying star in the constellation Aquarius. Planetary nebulae or stars at the end of their lives coincide with manifestations of weakness, despair, victimization, deceit, fraud, abuse, etc. . , of course accentuated by Neptune. Here, the M83-related disturbing reaction can be positive as a contrast,by taking a firm step to prevent further damage. If it's in our hands to participate in solutions, let's do it , whatever it takes, signing petitions, getting involved directly in solving personal or social problems, intervening to prevent further damage, making others aware and putting a stop to situations that are dangerously adrift.

All this sounds pretty bleak? Well, this is the way of the world right now, but there are other positive signs that we can take as an alternative. The combination Mercury/Neptune/M83 is excellent for artistic inspiration and creativity in general. Through imagination, new and original ways of expression will arise, either as creators or as viewers. So the best therapy will be to read or write a good book, to listen to or play a good music, to watch an inspiring movie or giving shape to a sculpture or crafts. Under normal circumstances, this would represent an escape from reality, but during these days, this is a lifesaver. Indeed, the introspection and insight indicated by the numerous supernovae in M83 strongly favors psychoanalysis.

Surprisingly, this combination can be good in financial terms, but in this field do not expect quick results. The more than 3,000 baby-stars in M83  symbolize fertility, prosperity, and the fact is that Mercury will have its direct station next Sunday in ecliptic conjunction to this galaxy... This means a prolonged effect that possibly will last until the end of next week  It is therefore an ideal time to plant the seed of medium-term projects or to give a substantial boost to others that are just emerging, at their initial stages. While you should not expect a stable response in the short term, it is important to strengthen projects and take care of them like babies. Once well fed and properly developed, these projects may blossom in the last weeks of this turbulent year of the Snake...

I hope these explanations of the current cosmic jam (and terrestrial, too) will be useful to better manage your own reality. Let´s prepare well for Mercury´s change of direction, this November 10/11th!

August 11/12: Jupiter, Juno and star cluster M80 release pressure with good communication. Mars, Neptune and the Seagull Nebula stimulate imagination and daydreaming, while Pallas and star cluster M54 integrate valuable and unexpected elements

August 11/12: Jupiter is at 150° from Juno, indicating the need to ease the pressure on relationships and find fulfillment in communication. Jupiter, a dominant planet in size and magnetic field, is in contra parallel to M80, a highly compressed cluster which exerts much gravitational pressure on its stars. This may represent an excessive pressure in relationships, whether they are romantic, work, family or friendship ones. Juno, meanwhile, is in parallel to star cluster M48, whose A-type stars emphasize expression. Juno needs to talk, to share, to listen and to be heard ... Even more so now that she is in contact with her mythological husband, which is precisely Jupiter ...

Jupiter and Juno are at 150° from each other in ecliptic longitude, a distance that represents an adjustment. There is a need to release the everyday routine. It is convenient to emphasize communication and expressiveness: it will be useful to express ideas and feelings that have been hidden so far. That will help relax everyday pressure and the accumulated impact it has on our relationships. If there is no good disposition for communication, then it is likely that this trend will manifest through power plays. Although this is very tiring, in some cases it might be the only way to draw attention to the real needs of some couples. However, no one but yourself will decide how this trend will manifest. Wouldn't it be a better option to sit down with a good cup of coffee to have a fruitful dialogue?

Mars is at 135° from Neptune and in ecliptic conjunction with the Seagull Nebula. This trend emphasizes strongly mental creativity and imagination. Mars' transit injects a lot of energy to the Seagull Nebula, which contains a B0 type star, which emphasizes  mental activity. The sesquiquadrate contact (135°) with Neptune indicates that this mental enhancement is directed towards imagination, so well represented by this planet. Now this may represent both a tendency to be evasive as well as a great moment of mental creativity. The energy can be readily dispersed through daydreaming, and therefore it is important to materialize good ideas, solutions or specific creations that arise in projects. Do not let great ideas evaporate! Put them into practice with well-defined, achievable goals...

Mercury is in parallel to star cluster M44, square to Saturn and biquintile Chiron. Mercury represents communication, ideas, and M44, the Beehive Cluster, emphasizes much expressiveness with its A-type stars. However, the square to Saturn limits this communication, or at least adds a tone of seriousness. If you connect with this trend,  forget frivolity and superficiality. This combination is not very good for advertising, so if you want to promote a project, it is best to wait a couple of days more... And despite the great need to communicate, some things are best kept in the dark. Indiscration will certainly entail severe problems. In any case, the best way to channel this trend is undoubtedly through mind structuring, researching, and studying seriously any topic that really interests you. By disciplining the mind, you will get better results than trying to break free of impediments or to overcome obstacles. That would be frustrating. Concentrate your mind on your tasks, and avoid seeing only the negative side of things.

Pallas is in opposition to star cluster M54, square Uranus and trine Chiron. This trend relates to the need to change original plans and integrate new ideas, concepts or people to them. If something goes wrong, it may be best to change the strategy, even if this was not considered previously. In many instances, tointegrate external elements may work better. This follows from the fact that M54 was born in another galaxy, the Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy, which is being currently absorbed by our Milky Way. This cluster represents the ability to assimilate valuable elements that come from external sources. On the other hand, it is also possible that external and surprising elements force us to change our strategies, and that can be uncomfortable, disturbing and even disastrous. It depends on each particular situation, but you have to focus on new things that come from outside, whether to give new impetus to our projects or to protect yourself against unexpected intrusions.

July 20/21: The weekend brings several different trends that include ideological separations, a productive end of Mercury's retrograde period, the struggle to replace old strategies, the breaking of dependencies and detox therapies. Get to know what the current astrological frequencies are, decide which one to connect with and make the best of this weekend!

July 20/21: Venus is at 135° from Uranus, in ecliptic conjunction to the Puppis A supernova, in contra parallel to the Eagle Nebula (M16). This is an intense trend that must be handled with care, as it indicates a strong introspection that may cause separations involving ideological differences. The Puppis A supernova is a relatively young one, and also one of the stronger X-ray sources in our galaxy. This symbolizes in-depth conversations and introspection, as in a psychotherapy. But to delve into the depths of the psyche can bring insights that may certainly cause drastic changes. The Puppis A supernova is an asymmetric explosion, ie, in which the neutron star is ejected in the opposite direction to the rest of the star's debris. This certainly symbolizes separation: hence, in these conditions, we must be careful and not get too much into the affairs of others. For psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, this is excellent, because it implies that the core of the personality gets rid of unnecessary attitudes, habits and psychological complexes that harm an optimal development. But at a superficial level, this can cause ruptures between people or even groups.

So, while Venus transits Puppis A, relating in a profound way reresents a risk. The reasons for separation, detachment or rejection may be ideological, as Venus is in contra parallel to the Eagle Nebula (M16), which contains a cluster of young stars of type O, with a very high temperature. These stars are associated with the higher mind and philosophical, religious, scientific or political ideals. Combined with Venus and Puppis A, the Eagle Nebula can represent confrontations caused by different viewpoints. Some are inevitable, of course, but the best would be to use this transit to understand in depth and detail the mechanisms that make our minds different from other people's. And instead of rejecting people or separating in such a confrontational way, it is wiser to withdraw from conflict, as does the pulsar of Puppis A, escaping  from the site of the explosion at the prodigious speed of 600 miles per second!

Mercury ends its retrograde period, getting stationary in ecliptic opposition to star cluster M11, the Wild Duck Cluster. This symbolizes a huge opportunity to generate wealth, since M11 is one of the most abundant among star clusters. The spectral type of the stars of M11 reveals the way in which this wealth can be materialized. Its stars of type A, K and G, represent expressiveness, productivity and self-assertion, respectively. The communicative qualities of Mercury, restricted during the last few weeks because of its retrograde motion, can be released now through dissemination of ideas, publicity, advertising, etc., symbolized by the A-type stars. Meanwhile, the K-type orange stars emphasize productivity and the generation of new projects and initiatives. The yellow stars of type G represent the will to succeed, the need to break through in the middle of difficulties, and the desire to win. Therefore, it is necessary to put in place the resources and organize so that, during the next two weeks at least,we can implement important strategies: it is an excellent time to make projects advance. So... let's get to work now!

Mars is trine to Neptune and Saturn, opposed to the Eagle Nebula (M16) and star cluster M18. After Jupiter completed the famous Grand Trine (120° distance) with Saturn and Neptune last week, Mars is now at the same position, prolonging the effects of this unusual equilateral triangle in the sky. The meaning of the Grand Trine is the possibility of improving difficult or complicated situations in which now Mars contributes with his energy and enthusiasm. Mars' opposition to the Eagle Nebula represents the need to compensate and overcome the prejudices that are actually at the root of problems. This will require to update concepts, ideas, plans, and interpretations that are outdated or simply do not work in present circumstances. This process will meet resistance, of course, but the challenge is to overcome it through proper reasoning and practical demonstrations. On the other hand, Mars is also opposed, a few hours later, to star cluster M18, an aspect that implies the need to introduce new ideas or strategies, which, precisely because they are new, recent or modern, will find rejection even they they represent an improvement . M18 is composed of young stars, but it is somewhat obscured by a thick curtain of cosmic dust: this indicates new ideas that encounter resistance. In summary, Mars has to provide energy to overcome prejudices and introduce, sometimes forcibly, new strategies to improve situations for the benefit of all. It is a difficult task, but a noble one, that requires a certain degree of courage. If you connect with this frequency you will definitely be the hero or heroine of your own life. Have a nice battle!

Ceres is trine Uranus, conjunct star cluster M67. This combination indicates independence and emancipation, but in a fluent way, not with violence as with Puppis A. Uranus represents liberation, while Ceres, with her maternal protectiveness, represents dependency. M67 is a very old cluster, whose age has been estimated at 4 billion years, representing traditions, institutions, which, coupled with Ceres, indicates old values that protect individuals. But after a while, individuals alsothe  need to fly with their own wings, and this seems to be an indicator of breaking of umbilical cords. Those who connect with this frequency must release and let go in order not to overprotect their loved ones or their favorite projects. And if you have been under great protection, this is the moment to spread your wings and make a flight on your own. To continue in the shell once it is broken would be abnormal, humiliating and will certainly cause discomfort. Enjoy your freedom!

The Sun is at 135° from Chiron, in ecliptic conjunction with M82, the Cigar Galaxy. This is a health-related trend, indicating tha detox therapies can enhance the body's vitality. This is especially true for the adrenals, kidneys, colon, intestines and sexual organs. M82 is a galaxy with strong infrared emission, due to the combination of a lot of dark dust and young stars within it. Infrared emission is related to the basic mechanisms of survival, including the body's function of getting rid of toxic metabolic waste. Thus, any  disease related to conditions of poor elimination can start to vanish during this weekend through the implementation of appropriate therapies to purify the body.

However, not any therapy will work effectively: we must accurately calculate its application. Excessive strength in an advanced disease or conditions of great weakness may cause an imbalance, and therefore in such cases it is better to have a professional advice. But, in general, helping the body to have a moderate detox with teas, saunas, lymphatic drainage massage, acupuncture and foods rich in fiber, among other methods, will release the body from waste and revitalize most people, in order to start the next week with more energy and optimism.

    Have a great weekend!

July 17/18: Vesta, the Sun, Saturn and star cluster M93 release pressure in order to express individuality, while Uranus retrograde, star cluster M3 and galaxy M61 point to necessary renovations. The Grand Trine between Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune begins to remove prejudices that generate unrest

July 17/18: Vesta is conjunct star cluster M93, in parallel to the Sun, square Saturn, and at 150° from Neptune. Definitely, Vesta is today the busiest celestial body astrologically speaking. In particular, it becomes strengthened by the parallel with the Sun, a symbol of power and energy. Vesta represents a principle of personal integrity, of concentration in our activities, of devotion to a cause, whether spiritual or practical. These days, Vesta's square (distance 90 °) to Saturn, with whom she has an ambivalent relationship, gets to be very dramatical. In mythology, Saturn is her father, an overbearing authority figure. The square Saturn/Vesta represents the urgent need to break the psychological sense of duty to express one's individuality. This can occur in several ways, the more positive is to break conventions in order to express personal creativity, making new contributions that generate progress.

But not all cases will have such an optimistic manifestation: it all depends on the particular situation and the amount of pressure that is actually present. If excessive pressure has been experienced in recent weeks, it's time to release, as we risk to create a liberation crisis that can cause drastic ruptures. Vesta is conjunct star cluster M93, in which most of the stars are of spectral type G and A,  indicating an enormous need for individual expression. Also, Vesta is in the expressive zodiac sign of Leo, Saturn is in the controlling sign of Scorpio, while the distance of 90° or square is an indicator of contrast and crisis.

It is really necessary to let escape Vesta from the excessive control of duty, routine, responsibilities, rituals and conventions that do not allow a healthy expression of individuality. Whether we place ourselves on the side of Vesta or that of Saturn, we must let everyone freely express their initiative, because otherwise  relationships (mainly in the family and at work) will be affected by tensions, that, in some cases, will be dramatic and have irreversible consequences. The amount of rebellious attitudes will match the amount of control applied. During the rest of the week, it is best to release the pressure to allow others (or oneself) to express their own creativity, which can liberate valuable contributions... Get over with the feelings of guilt!

The rebellious atmosphere is further accentuated by Uranus' retrograde station in opposition to star cluster M3 and in parallel to the particularly energetic galaxy M61. M3 is a very old cluster with a large number of variable stars, who are depleting their fuel: it denotes insecurity and outdated situations that need a renovation to keep going. Uranus in opposition to M3 indicates the need to overcome insecurity, and also the renewal process. The parallel with M61 helps a lot, too, because it is a tremendously energetic galaxy, where six supernovae have been detected, symbolically making M61 an intense transformation agent.

In short: Uranus' station points to the the need to overcome insecurity or outdated situations through drastic changes and necessary renovations. The point is to avoid using excessive force to compensate for insecurity: relevant changes will flow by themselves once we have decided to implement them. Putting too much energy on this can cause discomfort, unexpected problems, unpleasant surprises, exaggerations and may adversely affect others. It is a time to overcome outdated situations, but in low doses: Uranus' station is strong during these days, but we actually have five months to implement the changes that this represents. Uranus retrograde ends on December 17, 2013. So... take it easy.

As if this wasn´t enough for today, the long awaited Grand Trine in Water of three major planets reaches exactness: Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune form an equilateral triangle on their zodiacal positions, since they are located at 120° from each other. This configuration is unusual and indicates in theory an improvement (Jupiter) in difficult situations (Saturn and Neptune), since the trine or distance of 120° is considered a harmonic one. But let's look more closely at this configuration to better understand its symbolic meaning: Jupiter is in opposition to the Eagle Nebula (M16) and contra parallel star cluster M30. This mix indicates the need to revise conventions, personal or social, that generate conflict. M30 is a cluster with a gravitational core collapse, which is indicative of disagreements and confrontations. The stars within M30 frequently collide with each other. On the other hand, the Eagle Nebula (M16) is a nebula with a young star cluster and stars of very high temperature, being cataloged mostly in spectral type O which is a symbolic reference to cultural, religious, scientific or political ideas. And while the O-type stars emphasize the higher mind, they also enhance the prejudices derived from it with extremist attitudes ("I hold the truth")... Be careful with the way you manage your convictions! We must avoid exaggeration...

In sum, Jupiter, M30 and M16 combined depict convictions that generate discomfort and confrontation, and the solutions, too. In this sense, Jupiter intervenes in the debate with a realistic approach and a sense of justice. But in negative circumstances, Jupiter's tendency to exaggeration can cause an overreaction and accentuate this discomfort, deepening prejudice and abuse instead of solving problems. We clearly need objectivity in an environment in which prejudice appears to outweigh practical needs. At a social issues and at international level, it is obvious that protests and crises will abound, but perhaps this is the only way in which solutions to certain problems can be found. Personally, we can handle today's trends (which will last until the weekend) in a conscious way, moving away from extreme attitudes and fanaticism. Moderation is a great solution in itself.

July 12/13: The Sun, Neptune and the Copeland's Septet group of galaxies inject vitality and cooperation to solve problems; Mars in opposition to star cluster M23 revives strong ideological confrontations that must be overcome through clarity and an objective approach

Julio12/13: The Sun at 135° from Neptune, in parallel to the Copeland's Septet. The mix Sun/Neptune is usually positive in the sense tha it injects vitality and realism in areas that are loose or too abstract. Solar power is a dynamic and concrete support for Neptunian tendencies, too subtle to confront the material world. Too often, Neptunian trends remain at a highly idealistic level, causing physical neglect, which can sometimes end in deterioration. The relationship of 135° (called sesquiquadrate) indicates that if there is proper planning and structured actions, situations like this can be overcome successfully. Additionally, the Sun is in parallel of declination to a compact group of galaxies in the constellation Leo, called Copeland's Septet in honor of its discoverer. While there are many groups of galaxies in the universe, this is one of the most compact and reveals an intense interaction among its members.

The Copeland's Septet represents a kind of galactic social club, and thus reveals at the astrological level group interactions and collective cooperation. If this is for the good or the bad, it depends on the combinations this group may have with other astrological indicators of the moment. But today, with the combination Sun/Neptune, the Copeland's Septet can only mean the sum of individual efforts in order to find solutions to social problems. Therefore, it is a good time to join collective actions and causes. Individually, it represents the gathering different resources together to focus them on a given target. Sometimes, the different talents that we possess can successfully focus on achieving a definite goal rather than remaining dispersed or latent. This mix can also mean the individual strength necessary to resist, claim or fix the damage caused by institutions or groups, whether intentional or by negligence. Individual power is often greater than the collective, and we must take advantage of this temporary condition.

Mars is at 135  from the North Lunar Node and in opposition to star cluster M23. This astrological combination refers to the need to release the mental prison of ideological prejudices in order to experience freedom. Mars symbolizes an assertive and combative principle, while star cluster M23, which is in opposition, is an old cluster of about 220 million years, which represents the past and traditions. M23, which is in the sign and the constellation Sagittarius, often symbolizes institutionalized ideologies, whether at a religious, familiar, scientific, artistic, political, social and even a personal level. The opposition between Mars and M23 points out the need to balance established doctrines with a new individual approach, full of freedom.

There is no doubt that this trend will lead to strong ideological clashes and heated confrontations between those who place themselves on the side of M23 and traditions and those that challenge the status quo. Obviously, there may be a lot of aggression and dislikes, but this also may question prejudices that harm healthy development: it depends on each particular situation. But the goal is not so much to fight as to remove obstacles to evolution. Therefore, we also should take into account the135° relationship between Mars and the Moon's North Node, which completes the astrological configuration. The Lunar North Node represents an evolutionary path to the future, and its opposite point, the South Node, the past where we come from. Well, the South Node is conjunct to a pair of pulsars, PSR 1913 +16, we've analized at other times in the Galactic Guide. If a pulsar alone is intense, imagine a pair of them: it represents VERY intense interactions, in this case from the past.

So today ideological confrontations can revive old resentments, but the Lunar North Node position in the zodiac sign of Scorpio indicates that we should drop them,  in order to regenerate and get over them. To continue with the same old arguments for and against any particular way of thinking can be exhausting, boring and lead to a dead end. Because of this attitude, much of humanity is now at a dead end, precisely by confronting in a stubborn and absurd way. Today, we must use Mars' energy towards overcoming conflicts in a smarter way, without being emotionally involved. On July 16, 2013, Mars reaches its maximum declination in the Northern Hemisphere, indicating that during these days the power of reason and the higher mind increases. There is no better way to fight bigotry and ideological anachronisms than with clarity, objectivity and a serene mental analysis. In doing so, we will increase the chances of moving to a higher level of development. To get hooked into provocations would mean to surrender to the power of the same prejudices that we are fighting. In the XXIst Century, we must approach things differently!

Don't you think so? (if not, please don't get angry with me! I'm just describing the Heaven's configurations) :)

Julio 4/5: The Sun, Uranus, the Dumbbell Nebula and galaxy M61 indicate a conflictive, unstable and transformative atmosphere that must be handled with care. Venus, Supernova 1987A, Mercury and the pulsar Geminga provide some help, harmonizing the environment and focusing the mind on inner peace

July 4/5: The Sun is square Uranus and parallel to M27, the Dumbbell Nebula. A distance of 90° between the Sun and Uranus can be seen as a strong clash of personalities: it is a day in which empathy and togetherness simply won´t work much. On the contrary, the prevailing trend is to express a lot of freedom and a tendency to break with the established, to rebel and to experiment. Now the Sun begins to transit, through a parallel of declination, the Dumbbell Nebula (M27), which is a dying star that symbolizes  the tendency to develop powerful ideas. If you take this to an extreme, it is easy to fall into fanaticism or an exaggerated idealistic motivation. Be careful not to overdo your mind, whether in personal or ideological terms.

Furthermore, Uranus is already forming a parallel to galaxy M61, suggesting a radical tendency that brings instability. M61 is a highly energetic galaxy in the constellation Virgo, in which six supernovae (!!!!) have been detected . Definitely, this carries an explosive and transformative connotation. This trend, in sharp conflict with the Sun can cause substantial destabilization in many personal and international situations. If you find that you have connected personally to this frequency, try not to put your hands on things to avoid being affected strongly by conflictive situations. Trying to correct things that are out of control today is like standing in the middle of the railroad tracks to stop a locomotive with just your willpower. You would end up completely flattened, so it is better not to get exposed to serious problems. But yes, in the international arena, it is very likely that this trend will reflect highly critical situations: we will be seeing them in the news.

Fortunately, Venus is contra parallael to Pluto and in opposition to supernova 1987A. Given the atmosphere generated by the Sun square Uranus, this Venusian trend represents a blessing and salvation for many. The contra parallel to Pluto represents the necessary will to escape manipulations, either in terms of love, social, economic or employment issues. And the opposition with Supernova 1987A, one of the most recent and therefore most energetic,  indicates the peace needed to balance explosive situations or transformative processes, with all the agitation and discomfort that they represent. Yes, today it is possible to generate a little harmony within a turbulent environment, but this requires that we  connect consciously with this trend instead of being drawn into the vortex of manipulation and radical attitudes around. Let the power of Venus flow!

Asteroid Ceres is in opposition to star cluster M71, at 150° from Neptune and at 45° from Pallas. This combination is ideal to fix situations where there has been disruption, abandonment, neglect, anything that needs a structured intervention for a substantial correction. Ceres, with her maternal and protective attitude, opposes M71, which is a very sparse star cluster that tends to negligence or a lack of discipline, just like Neptune. Pallas is the great corrective of Neptunian problems, thanks to her strategic and organized action. It is therefore an excellent time for giving maintenance to all areas that need it, do not postpone issues of this kind for another day!

Mercury retrograde is at 30° from Pallas, conjunct the Eskimo Nebula, and parallel to Geminga. This trend, which will only last for about 24 hours (most of the trends that appear in the Galactic Guide last a couple of days or more), refers to remain silent, ignoring the outside. All this in order to concentrate on solving complex problems or developing creativity that can be equally complex, yet sophisticated and original. The powerful parallel between Mercury and Geminga represents silence, since Mercury is the planet of communication and Geminga is a pulsar or neutron star without emission of radio waves. As almost all pulsars emit radiation in the radio frequency, it is thought that Geminga just doesn't point its radio beams towards Earth, but astrologically this implies a lack of communication. It also means silence: do not speak in order to avoid pulling the external turbulence into your personal reality. The normal everyday Mercurial curiosity can be counterproductive in an environment like this, so do not stick your nose where you do not belong! Silence can be the best strategy...

Mercury is talkative by nature, but today it must remain silent at times to focus creativity into the Eskimo Nebula, with which it makes an ecliptic conjunction. The Eskimo represents, as we have seen in other editions of the Galactic Guide, complex situations and sophisticated creativity. Pallas, meanwhile, opposes M9, a star cluster that despite being subject to strong gravitational pressures from the outside, on the inside it manifests great stability. In short, we must remain calm amid the storm, experience great inner peace and concentration while standing right at the hurricane's eye. Do not let yourself be strongy impressed either positively or negatively by the incoming information and news, whether they are terrible or sublime. The challenge today is to stay calm amid internal turmoil that will start fading as the weekend arrives.

Will you be able of doing this? I bet you will, if you put yourself consciously in a position where you can contemplate reality without getting too involved in it. It is worth a try!

July 1/2: The Sun, Pluto and the Trifid Nebula indicate the need to prevent conflicts and manipulations; Venus, Saturn, Neptune, and star clusters M93 and M71 find a balance between relaxation and discipline

July 1/2: The Sun in opposition to Pluto and contra parallel to the Trifid Nebula is definitely the main trend of this next couple of days and represents the need to prevent manipulation with a conscious mind and strength of character. In general, the opposition Sun/Pluto, which happens once a year, indicates a balance of power between the solar ego and the plutonian tendency to manipulate. Each year around this date we can witness ego clashes and strong wills that contradict each other, either on our individual experience or within a social context. Of course, it depends on ourselves if this is taken to an extreme or if it is used to balance forces and find different options. It is clearly a difficult task, but not an impossible one. Now, as we begin this week, things can get a bit more complicated, since the Sun is involved in a contra parallel with the Trifid Nebula (M20). This nebula is one of the most interesting star-forming regions in our galaxy. It is located in the constellation Sagittarius, and despite its imposing visual beauty, it contains three giant stars of very high temperature, which illuminate the nebula from within as it were a lamp. They are actually competing fiercely for space, sending an enormous amount of radiation all around them.

This astrologically symbolizes a tendency to compete, to seek advantage, to dominate. By itself, this attitude can affect negatively most social relationships at any time, but combined with the Sun/Pluto opposition, it is clearly indicating extremist attitudes. The Sun in contra parallel symbolizes the necessary will power to stop these attitudes, so we don't get caught in them. Don't take things too personally, don´t get involved in arguments, observe rather than reacting impulsively and don't submit to someone else´s ego. Instead of fighting and confronting, it is advisable to handle things calmly and objectively, seeking different options when you feel resistance or conflict. Don't let yourself be manipulated! Also, do not try to impose your will if you do not want to create unnecessary complications.

Venus is conjunct star cluster M93 and square Saturn. This astrological mix indicates a passionate and emotional trend in relationships that is hampered by responsibilities and a sense of duty. As we have discussed in this last's weekend Galactic Guide, M93 represents a lot of passion and inspiration, and the transit of Venus can make this process very enjoyable. But, just as we start the week, the practical obligations and commitments imposed by our social or professional schedule tend to dominate, and it is better for us to give preference to the things we need to do, putting temporarily in the background inspiration, spontaneity, emotions and love. This contrast may seem depressing to some, but bear in mind that the opposite can also occur: it is possible to give some beauty, inspiration and emotion to boring or demanding activities and relationships. See how the trend is manifesting in your case and try to make a balance, it is worth the effort!

After completing the square to Saturn, Venus is at 150° from Neptune and in opposition to star cluster M71, indicating a much more relaxed mood. M71 is a disperse cluster, and Neptune points in the same direction. Then, after working with discipline and organization, it is best to relax a bit. Such is the sequence indicated by the stars, so if at first you feel a lot of pressure from external sources, just accept it with responsibility and commitment, as a more relaxed atmosphere is likely to come soon. Yes, the contrast can be strong and there is a latent danger of making a mess of the structure we have achieved. Take precautions to prevent this from happening, and then take a rest...

Mercury retrograde is at 30° from Mars, in opposition to star cluster M55. This combination also describes disorganized conditions that need to be overcome with an injection of energy. M55 is one of the globular clusters in our galaxy with less concentration at its core. This implies a lack of discipline, but the opposition of Mercury retrograde today makes this an ideal time to resolve unfinished issues, whether by negligence or lack of interest. Yes, we'll have to make an extra effort, but Mars, located at 30° from Mercury indicates that we can have excellent results. Apparently, this is not a time to be idle, but rather to tighten the screws that are loose in our everyday life, our projects...and also (why not?) our brains too.

I wish you all a nice week, free from confrontations as you apply your energy in an organized and productive way...

June 17/18: The Sun and nebula M78 reveal through reflection, while Pallas, Pluto and star cluster M21 boost new projects...

Junio17/18: The Sun is conjunct reflection nebula M78, which means that, in the next 48 hours, introspective, intuitive, and psychoanalytic qualities are enhanced. M78 is in the constellation of Orion, and reflects the bluish light of 2 B-type stars that lie within it. These stars have a symbolic association with the intellect and the higher mind. It is therefore an excellent time to explore within ourselves, uniting reason and intuition to investigate, to inquire and to get answers. The general atmosphere is suited for psychoanalysis, to consult oracles, to have and analyze dreams that are as revealing as intriguing. It's a great day to meditate and listen to what the body and the unconscious may be telling us. The downside of this is that it produces so much passivity due to excessive mental reflection... Those who connect with this trend probably will lack decision, dynamism and activity. You may have to wait for another time to act, but also check the other current trends, as they can be highly dynamic...

Pallas is at 150° from Pluto and in opposition to star cluster M92. This represents strategies made to transform areas resistant to change. Palas represents strategies while Pluto's specialty is deep changes.  M92 is a cluster with very few variable stars, symbolizing stability. M92 has also a very low metallicity, implying relatively little conversion of its chemical elements into more sophisticated ones. Thus, cluster M92 is conservative, resistant to change, and this obviously has to be updated occasionally, as the universal law is perpetual change. Apparently this is one of those times when we have to change behaviors or situations that have resisted modifications in a while. But this cannot be done overnight, and that is exactly the role of Pallas in this astrological mix: we must design strategies to implement changes. It's time to design the best way to renew areas and ideas that hurt our development, even if at other times they have fostered it. This trend lasts all week, so there are several days to plan.

On the other hand, Mars is sextile Uranus and contra paralel to star cluster M21. This mix is also quite energetic and can be complementary to the first (Sun/M78). M21 is a very young cluster, just 4 million years old, which in cosmic terms, is a baby. Its B-type stars represent bright but incipient ideas. Mars is in contra parallel to M21, compensating for this lack of experience with lots of energy and dynamism. In other words, it is a good time to energize emerging projects and make them advance. An additional incentive for experimentation can be indicated by the sextile to Uranus. It's good to try different possibilities and find new options for what we have in mind. The trend lasts about 5 days, so we have several days to jumpstart ideas that are worthwhile, if we want to boost them strongly. Beware of impulsivity, though!

We also have another interesting mix to start the week: Mercury is at 135° from Neptune, in parallel to the Crab Nebula (M1) and in opposition to the Ring Nebula (M57). This complex mix of nebulae and planets can lead to strong insights whose goal would be to acquire a more objective view of reality, dissipating confusion or evasion. Things go like this: the Ring Nebula is a dying star that we see from one of its poles. This means an extremist view, which is balanced by Mercury, a "double planet", as it has a very hot side and the other is very cold. Mercury sees things from two angles or two ends, which represents a rational pursuit of objectivity. This fits well with balanced, objective ideas or attitudes rather than the extremist ones so well symbolized by M57.

But this objectivity should serve to acquire a more realistic view, breaking confusion or idealized images of people and situations. What we've been avoiding for fear, uncertainty or dismissal is shown just like it is right before our eyes. There won't be a better option than consciously opening our minds to reality, there is no more escape. Mercury is also in parallel to the Crab Nebula (M1), a supernova explosion in the constellation Taurus, and this may provoke shocking realizations which will make radical changes in the way we see things. In some cases, the shock may cause a momentary crisis. But do not use that energy to complain or lament... After acknowledging facts in their right dimension, it is best to use the awareness as an incentive to acquire objectivity and clarify confusing situations and ideas with  defined and balanced actions.

So we expect a week with introspection and objectivity, experimentation and fundamental changes ... Good luck!
