June 13/14: The Sun is in parallel to Mercury and conjunct M42, the Great Orion Nebula. This represents a powerful mental creativity, adding to similar trends in recent days. In particular, this one combines the creativity of the Sun with the typical ability to generate and upbringing of M42. The Great Orion Nebula is one of the most fertile regions of our galaxy, in the sense of generation of stars. M42 contains many young stars and stellar embryos. It is actually a giant cosmic womb! Add this to the mental activity of Mercury, which is strengthened by the power of the Sun in parallel, which, by the way, ejected a big flare this very morning. Even more so, this represents a powerful mental stimulus that can serve to create art,  to do a fertile research, to study, to communicate, and to manage issues related to children (M42 is the Great Orion Babysitter!), obtaining in all these areas a great success today.

     The problem with M42, on the other hand, is its tendency to generate many responsibilities. This means that if we let too many ideas in our heads, there will be no time to carry out in practice even half of them... So it is advisable not to overdo our brain and limit ourselves to develop only the best ideas or projects that arise in the next 24 hours. In the social and emotional plane, this astrological mix indicates a strong need for communication, but also the tendency to express possessive and overprotective behaviors... this needs to be stopped, in case it happens. This combination is also strong in economic terms, as it symbolizes an increase in productivity and sales. So it is advisable to provide the circumstances that yield higher profits...

Junio 13/14: El Sol está en paralelo a Mercurio y en conjunción a M42, la Gran Nebulosa de Orión. Esto representa una poderosa creatividad mental, que se suma a las tendencias similares de los últimos días. En particular, ésta combina la creatividad del Sol con la gestación típica de M42. La Gran Nebulosa de Orión es una de las regiones más fértiles de nuestra galaxia, en el sentido de generación de estrellas. M42 contiene numerosas estrellas jóvenes y embriones estelares. ¡Es un gigantesco útero cósmico! Pero a ello, se suma la actividad mental de Mercurio, que es fortalecida también por el poder del Sol, que por cierto, lanzó una erupción esta misma mañana. Con más razón, esto representa un poderoso estímulo mental que nos puede servir para crear arte, investigar, estudiar y comunicar, y tratar asuntos relacionados con niños (¡M42 es la Gran Niñera de Orión!) obteniendo en todas estas áreas un gran éxito.

     El problema con M42, por otro lado, es que su tendencia es hacia generar demasiadas responsabilidades. Esto quiere decir que si manejamos demasiadas ideas en nuestra cabeza, no habrá el tiempo de realizar en la práctica ni la mitad de ellas... Entonces es recomendable no exagerar y limitarse a desarrollar sólo las mejores ideas o proyectos que surjan en estas próximas 24 horas. En lo social y afectivo, esta mezcla astrológica indica una fuerte necesidad de comunicación, pero también la tendencia a manifestar comportamientos posesivos y sobreprotectores... hay que frenarlos. Esta combinación también es fuerte en el plano económico, ya que simboliza un incremento de la productividad y las ventas. Así que es recomendable facilitar las circunstancias que permitan tener mejores ganancias...

May 27/28: The Sun, Saturn and M80 show the need to relax control, as Mercury, Jupiter and the Great Orion Nebula (M42) generate mental creativity and over scheduling

May 27/28: The Sun is opposed to star cluster M80 and at 150° from Saturn. This astrological combination represents the need to relieve excessive pressure in the area of work, family or social commitments. How can this be inferred? M80 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Scorpius, and is one of the more gravitationally compressed clusters in our galaxy. This results in less space between the stars that compose M80. They often pass very close to each other so the friction is strong enough to strip the stars from their outer layers. These kind of stars that have been stripped of their atmospheres, as if they had taken their clothes off, are called "blue stragglers", as the core of the star, which is exposed, glows in blue due to its high temperature.

     Thus, M80 symbolizes intense relationships, which can have a strong influence, usually caused by social pressure, symbolized by the cluster's gravitational force. But today the Sun opposes M80, giving the notion of equilibrium, to go in the opposite direction escaping excessive control, either releasing controlling attitudes or throwing them off. Of course, this may result in guilt, for Saturn is involved with the Sun through a quincunx (150° angle). The commitments that involve a lot of stress fit into this category, so in some cases it is best to negotiate, or perhaps postponing what can not be resolved easily, or finding alternative solutions to things.

      What we shouldn't do, definitely, is to let excessive stress, whether it comes from work, from family or partners, friends, community, institutions or our own brain to dominate the environment, because that would be going against the general trend. Even in circumstances of great pressure and responsibility, it is possible to find a more relaxed dynamic, cutting unnecessary excesses. On the other hand, in contexts where discipline is required, you might find new procedures to achieve more with less effort. In terms of relationships, you may need to step back and take a little rest from controlling and dominant personalities. In case we identify this behavior in ourselves, this is positive as long as we make it conscious and stop. Avoid clashes with people and rather use the firm control represented by M80 and Saturn to structure messy or inconsistent areas. This will bring better results than fighting! In this way, resting after a disciplined activity will feel much better.

     Not everything is conflict today, though: Mercury, Jupiter and the Great Orion Nebula (M42) are in conjunction, indicating a very good time to travel physically or mentally, for issues related to education, information, communication, and mental creativity. Today, excellent ideas may be conceived and developed and it is possible to access a wealth of valuable information. This trend is complementary to the previous one since it indicates an optimistic mindset, pushing the boundaries beyond limitations. You can conceive great ideas and have significant advances in information and intellectual issues. But M42 is an extremely fertile area of the galaxy, and it tends to draw a lot of attention. So, think about how much you can really give of your time and resources, because under a M42 trend there's always too many things to do. If you let yourself to get caught among responsibilities and commitments you'l end up end up getting stuck and exhausted... It is best to select what is most important, and limit our activities to that; it is better to have a few achievements rather than everything half-done ...

Mayo 27/28: El Sol, Saturno y M80 muestran la necesidad de relajar el control, mientras Mercurio, Júpiter y la Gran Nebulosa de Orión (M42) generan creatividad mental y excesos en la agenda

Mayo 27/28: El Sol a 150° de Saturno y en oposición al cúmulo estelar M80.  Esta combinación astrológica representa la necesidad de liberar la presión excesiva en el área del trabajo, la familia o los compromisos sociales. ¿Cómo puede deducirse esto? M80 es un cúmulo globular situado en la constelación de Scorpius, y se trata de uno de los cúmulos más comprimidos gravitatoriamente en nuestra galaxia. Esto trae como resultado menos espacio entre las estrellas que lo componen. Éstas pasan muy cerca las unas de las otras y frecuentemente los roces son tan cercanos que las estrellas pierden sus capas exteriores. Estas estrellas que han sido desprovistas de su atmósfera, como si se les hubiera quitado la ropa, han sido denominadas "rezagadas azules", pues el núcleo de la estrella, que queda al descubierto, brilla en color azul debido a su alta temperatura.

     De este modo, M80 simboliza relaciones intensas, que pueden tener una fuerte influencia, normalmente provocada por la presión social, que es representada por la fuerza gravitatoria del cúmulo. Pero hoy el Sol se opone a M80, dando la noción de equilibrio, de ir en el sentido opuesto y salir del control, ya sea soltando actitudes controladoras o zafándose de ellas. Por supuesto, esto puede provocar cierta culpa, pues Saturno está involucrado con el Sol en una relación de quincuncio (150°). Los compromisos que impliquen mucha tensión entrarán en esta dinámica, y lo mejor es negociar, quizás postergando lo que no se pueda resolver fácilmente, o encontrando soluciones alternativas a las cosas.

      Lo que sí no se debe hacer, definitivamente, es dejar que la presión en el trabajo, de parte de familiares o pareja, de amistades, de la comunidad, instituciones o de nuestra propia personalidad domine el ambiente, porque ahí estaríamos yendo en contra de la tendencia general. Aún en circunstancias de mucha actividad y responsabilidad, es posible encontrar una dinámica más relajada, cortando excesos innecesarios. Por otro lado, en contextos donde se requiera disciplina, es posible encontrar un orden que permita lograr más con menos esfuerzo. Pero en el plano de las relaciones, quizás sea necesario tomar distancia para descansar de personalidades controladoras y dominantes. Y si identificamos esta conducta en nosotros mismos, traerá grandes beneficios el hacerlo consciente y modificarlo posteriormente. Eviten los roces y usen el firme control de M80 y Saturno para ordenar y estructurar áreas desordenadas o inconsistentes. ¡Esto traerá mejores resultados que luchar con nuestros semejantes! Y así, el descanso después de una actividad disciplinada se sentirá mejor.

     Pero no todo es conflicto: Mercurio, Júpiter y la Gran Nebulosa de Orión (M42) están en conjunción, indicando un muy buen momento para viajar física o mentalmente, para cuestiones relacionadas con estudios, información, comunicación además de una gran creatividad mental. Hoy pueden concebirse y desarrollarse excelentes ideas y  es posible  acceder a una gran cantidad de información valiosa. Esta tendencia es complementaria a la anterior ya que indica una disposición mental al desarrollo, optimista y sobrepasando los límites. Se pueden concebir grandes ideas y tener avances en cuestiones de información e intelectuales. Pero M42 es una zona extremadamente fértil de la galaxia, y que tiende a llamar mucho la atención. Por ello, piensen cuánto pueden realmente dar de su tiempo y recursos, porque bajo la tendencia de M42 siempre hay demasiadas cosas qué hacer. Si se llenan de responsabilidades y compromisos demandantes, acabarán atascándose y exhaustos... Es mejor seleccionar lo que sea más importante, y limitarse a ello, ya que es mejor que salgan algunas cosas bien que todas a medias...

August 14/15: Juno is in parallel to M42, the Great Orion Nebula , suggesting a time of sowing in human relations

     August 14/15: Minor planet Juno is in parallel to M42, the Great Nebula in Orion. This represents a highly successful exchange in the area of relationships. M42 is a gas cloud that is forming stars, a real cosmic matrix that ia and represents a great incubator. M42 is seen in the early stages of formation of a star cluster, because of this it abounds in stellar embryos, called Herbig-Haro objects. These are unstable stars in their early stages of formation, which points to the intiation of projects together with others (Juno) ...and begin to care of them as if they were germinating seedlings. It is a good time to make contracts, including long-term, for weddings and marriages, to organize team work, for social events and also for social and political organization. This is not a time of harvest, it is good for planting and gestation.   Tomorrow's results will come from the seeds of today, so that alliances and encounters currently flowing in the personal and social, are very important in defining the future. Handle them consciously!

July 30/31: The Sun and the Beehive Cluster (M44) emphasize expression and communication, and reveal hidden information, Venus and the Great Orion Nebula generate material, artistic abundance...and love

July 30/31: The Sun conjunct the Beehive Cluster (M44), at 150° from Pluto, at 60° from Vesta. Each year, around July 30th, the Sun transits in ecliptic conjunction to the Beehive cluster, located in the center of the constellation of Cancer and the beginning of the zodiacal sign of Leo. This transition, although a fleeting one, can be significant because of its strong tendency to expressiveness. M44 contains lots of white stars of type A, classified after their temperature, which hovers around 10,000 degrees Kelvin. A-type stars are associated astrologically with expressive power, an enormous need for communication that the Sun's transit emphasizes even more.

     However, during this year's transit, it is advisable to be cautious: the Sun is simultaneously located at 150° from Pluto and star cluster M25, which, as we have seen in other sections of the Galactic Guide, may result in hidden information coming to the surface. The effect of this trend may vary: while it is constructive to express repressed emotions and thoughts, it can also generate situations that will surely cause conflict and controversy. In any case, you should use this transit to bring out creative ideas that were forgotten in the past and that can have a good use in the present. It is also good for expressing feelings of all kinds, easing the emotional burden and giving some relief. Do not rule out the possibility of a romantic mood, especially with Venus conjunct the Great Nebula in Orion (see below), nor scandals caused by indiscretions or manipulative research. If you want to keep something hidden today, you must be especially careful...

     Fortunately, the Sun is at 60° from Vesta, a highly favorable combination symbolizing the ability to focus on constructive activities, compensating somehow the tendency to be distracted by external events, to which one can escape if you tune on consiously with this frequency. More even so as Vesta is conjunct the Hyades, a star cluster in the constellation Taurus, whose abundance of K-type stars suggests much creative and productive activity, also in financial terms. And while the combination Vesta/Hyades is favorable to concentrate on productive work, it also places great emphasis on sexuality and desire, which can absorb a substantial amount of attention for a couple of days. The trend may actually manifest at all these levels, but the important thing is to know the general atmosphere and to consciously decide which frequency to connect with.

     Venus conjunct the Great Orion Nebula (M42) is a very positive trend that represents a wealth both in the material plane and relationships. It is an excellent time to generate money or resources, as well as for artistic creation and showing love at all levels. Yes, Venus can be decidedly romantic in combination with M42, and in general, it can build or reinforce confidence in many types of relationships. Julio 30/31: El Sol y el Cúmulo del Panal (M44) enfatizan la expresión y la comunicación, a la vez que revelan información oculta; Venus y la Gran Nebulosa de Orión generan abundancia material, artística y amorosa

Julio 30/31: El Sol en conjunción al Cúmulo del Panal (M44), a 150° de Plutón y a 60° de Vesta. Cada año, alrededor del 30 de Julio, el Sol transita en conjunción eclíptica al cúmulo del Panal, situado en el centro de la constelación de Cáncer y al principio del signo zodiacal de Leo. Este tránsito, aunque es fugaz, puede ser significativo debido a su fuerte tendencia a la expresividad. M44 contiene una gran cantidad de estrellas blancas de tipo A, clasificadas así por su temperatura, que oscila alrededor de los 10,000 grados Kelvin. Las estrellas de tipo A están asociadas astrológicamente con facultades expresivas, una enorme necesidad de comunicación que el tránsito del Sol enfatiza aún más.

     Sin embargo, en el tránsito de este año, será necesario tener precaución al manifestarse: el Sol está simultáneamente situado a 150° de Plutón y del cúmulo estelar M25, que, como hemos visto en otras secciones de la Guía Galáctica, puede resultar en información oculta que sale a la luz. El uso que se le pueda dar a esta tendencia es variable: si bien resulta constructivo para manifestar emociones y pensamientos reprimidos, también puede exponer situaciones que seguramente causarán conflictos y controversia. En todo caso, es recomendable usar este tránsito para sacar a la luz ideas creativas que estaban olvidadas y que pueden aprovecharse en el presente, así como para manifestar sentimientos de todo tipo que hayan quedado guardados, aligerando la carga emocional y propiciando el desahogo. No se descarta la posibilidad de una modalidad romántica, especialmente con Venus en conjunción a la Gran Nebulosa de Orión (ver más abajo), pero tampoco la de escándalos causados por indiscreciones o investigaciones. Si desean mantener algo oculto, hoy hay que tener una mayor precaución...

     Afortunadamente, el Sol se encuentra a 60° de Vesta, una combinación altamente favorable y que simboliza la posibilidad de concentrarse en actividades constructivas, compensando un poco la tendencia a dejarse impresionar por eventos externos, a los cuales uno puede sustraerse si sintoniza esta frecuencia benéfica. Tanto más que Vesta se encuentra en conjunción a las Híades, un cúmulo estelar en la constelación de Tauro, cuya abundancia de estrellas de tipo K revela mucha actividad creativa y productiva, incluso en el plano económico. Y si bien la combinación Vesta/Híades es favorable para concentrarse en un trabajo productivo, también enfatiza mucho la sexualidad y el deseo, que pueden absorber sustancialmente la atención durante un par de días. Tal vez se manifieste a todos estos niveles, pero lo importante es conocer la atmósfera general y poder decidir conscientemente a qué frecuencia nos conectamos.

     Venus en conjunción a la Gran Nebulosa de Orión (M42) es una tendencia muy positiva que representa una gran abundancia tanto en el plano material como en las relaciones. Es un excelente momento para generar recursos económicos, así como para la creación artística y manifestar amor a todos los niveles. Sí, Venus puede ser decididamente romántico en combinación a M42, y en general, puede afianzar la confianza en muchos tipos de relaciones. Le daremos seguimiento a esta fantástica combinación discutiendo sus características en las secciones de Facebook y Twitter de la Guía Galáctica a lo largo de los días que vienen, ¡no se las pierdan! July 27/28: Mercury and the Tarantula Nebula allow us to observe clearly the state of our creativity, Mars and the Great Orion Nebula (M42) take productivity to the maximum to generate abundance

July 27/28: Mercury retrograde in opposition to the Tarantula Nebula, in sextile to Vesta and the Hyades cluster. This combination is excellent for stimulating mental focus, especially when it comes to escape outside influences that distract us from the issues that really need our attention. The Tarantula Nebula, one of the largest regions of ionized hydrogen (HII) in our galactic environment, is in a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, the Large Magellanic Cloud. Simply because of its size, this gargantuan cosmic matrix tends to get noticed and to absorb the time and space of others. This is not necessarily bad, but the transit of Mercury retrograde in opposition indicates a balance: we can resist people or situations that demand too much of our energy and time. In some cases the effect will be exactly the opposite  and then the option is to enjoy-first of all, and manage the wealth of concepts, ideas, people and creativity that will flow around. Mercury in opposition to the Tarantula indicates the possibility to look objectively at our position in the whole and in society, and clearly analyze our situation and what we've done so far with our present life. And for that, Vesta, together with the Hyades cluster, is an aid, as it promotes concentration. But the Hyades, with an abundance of K-type stars, on the other hand greatly stimulate desire and sexuality, as well as a free creative expression. It depends on where we want to make the emphasis... Choose the way you deem more convenient for your plans...

      Mars in parallel with the Great Orion Nebula (M42) is in itself another huge boost of creativity, though perhaps very fast and impatient, as Mars gives it full speed. And the Great Nebula of Orion, which can be seen with the naked eye below the Belt of Orion, is one of the greatest zones of generation of stars in our galaxy.... M42 is thus one of the most important astrological symbols of creativity and productivity in our sky, very much like the Tarantula Nebula, although closer to us and not as big ... Anyway, it's a great day to significantly increase productivity at all levels, and this obviously can bring benefits in the material plane and a great abundance at all levels. With the speed injected by Mars, maybe we can do more and with better results than in previous days. However, it is likely that the work consists on planting seeds and starting projects rather than reaping the fruits, which we will probably only see weeks later. But, because of that, we must not lose this opportunity to plant for tomorrow!

Julio 27: Mercurio retrógrado en oposición a la Nebulosa de la Tarántula, en sextil a Vesta y al cúmulo de las Híades. Esta combinación es excelente para fomentar la concentración mental, sobre todo si se trata de sustraerse a influencias externas que distraen de los asuntos que realmente necesitan de nuestra atención. La Nebulosa de la Tarántula, una de las regiones más grandes de hidrógeno ionizado (HII) en nuestro entorno galáctico, se encuentra en una galaxia satélite de la Vía láctea, la Gran Nube de Magallanes. Simplemente por su tamaño, esta gigantesca matriz cósmica tiende a llamar mucho la atención y a absorber el tiempo y el espacio ajenos. Esto no es necesariamente malo, pero el tránsito de Mercurio retrógrado en oposición indica un equilibrio: es posible resistirse a personas o situaciones que demanden excesivamente nuestra energía. En algunos casos será al revés, y entonces la opción es disfrutar y manejar la abundancia de conceptos, ideas, personas y creatividad que se presentará. Mercurio en oposición a la Tarántula indica la posibilidad de ver con objetividad nuestra posición en el todo y en la sociedad, y analizar con claridad nuestra realidad y lo que hemos hecho hasta ahora. Y para ello, Vesta, junto con el cúmulo de las Híades, representa una ayuda para fomentar la concentración. Pero las Híades, con una abundancia de estrellas de tipo K, por otro lado estimulan mucho el deseo y la sexualidad, así como una libre expresión creativa. Depende de por dónde queramos hacer el énfasis...

      Marte en paralelo a la Gran Nebulosa de Orión (M42) representa en sí otro enorme impulso de creatividad, aunque quizás un tanto acelerado e impaciente, pues Marte le imprime velocidad a todo. Y la Gran Nebulosa de Orión, que por cierto puede apreciarse a simple vista debajo del cinturón de Orión, es una de  las zonas de mayor generación de estrellas de nuestra galaxia.... M42 es pues uno de los símbolos más importantes de actividad creativa y productiva de nuestro cielo, igual que la Nebulosa de la Tarántula, aunque más cercana a nosotros y no tan grande... Como sea, es un excelente día para aumentar considerablemente la productividad a todos los niveles, lo cual evidentemente puede traer beneficios en el plano material y una gran abundancia. Con la velocidad inyectada por Marte, quizás podamos hacer más cosas y con un mejor resultado que en días anteriores. Sin embargo, es probable que el trabajo consista más bien en sembrar semillas y en iniciar proyectos que en cosechar los resultados, que probablemente sólo se vean semanas después. Pero por eso mismo, ¡no hay que perder esta oportunidad de sembrar para el mañana!

June 13th: Mercury at 45° from Ceres, at 30° from Venus indicates a highly productive day, but only if working with organization and responsibility. And a little bit of flexibility will make things go even better.

     However, the most significant combination today is the Sun conjunct the Great Orion Nebula (M42) and trine to Saturn. This reveals a very good day with creative possibilities and high productivity: the Great Nebula in Orion is one of the most active star-making zones in the galaxy. And while it represents productivity, wealth and resources, M42 usually indicates too many things going on, too much to do, too many projects and activities that may end up dispersing the energy and generating chaos.  

    Fortunately, the relationship between the Sun/M42 with Saturn is very positive, at an angle of 120°. It is Saturn that leads us to set limits and give structure to available resources.
