March 26/27: Mercury, Jupiter and star cluster M26 help overcome obstacles by expanding the mental horizon, while the Sun, the Horsehead Nebula and Neptune expose hidden contents

March 26/27: Mercury is trine Jupiter, in parallel to star cluster M26. This trend is idea lto overcome   limits and obstacles, particularly in matters concerning communication, study and travel. The Mercury/Jupiter combination is excellent for developing a more optimistic approach to circumstances and for expanding the mental horizon, which is of great importance, because the cluster M26 is involved in this astrological combination. Cluster M26, despite having many very bright stars of type B, which stimulate the mind and intellect, is obscured in its center by a dense cloud of interstellar dust. This hinders the passage of light, at least in its central part, and therefore represents difficulties. So, the fabulous trine between Mercury and Jupiter, with its characteristic optimism, suggests impediments being overcome. It is therefore ideal for breaking communication barriers, for making repairs to your automobile, television and internet connections, for solving academic problems, for finding the necessary information to research, study, write... And above all, to do mental or physical travel, whose effect is aimed to expand our vision and find opportunities where we previously only saw limits ... This transit doesn't last long, so don't waste the opportunity!

      On the other hand, the Sun transits Neptune in a semisextile (30°-distance), in contra parallel to the Horsehead Nebula. This trend brings to light unconscious or unclear issues. The Sun, by its natural brightness, as seen from Earth, is an exhibitionist by nature. The Horsehead Nebula is a dark nebula, as it consists mainly of dense interstellar dust clouds. However, its silhouette, which resembles the head of a horse, is strongly highlighted by the ultraviolet radiation of the background of ionized clouds, mainly coming from the nearby star Zeta Orionis. This acts as a brilliant backdrop that exposes and highlights its dark body, right at the center of the cosmic stage. Meanwhile, Neptune, which represents thge unconscious, or unclear issues, normally hidden behind a veil of confusion, is caught between the Sun and the Horsehead , being inevitably exposed to public scrutiny...

     This can have several concrete manifestations, ranging from financial scandals, particularly revealing dreams, extraordinary psychoanalytic sessions, spiritual illumination, to deep insights, creative visualizations, as well as distorted philosophies, corrupt policies and errors that are painfully obvious and publicly exposed. For the arts, this trend is superb for both rehearsals and performances, which bring to light the highly creative, artistic and imaginative part of Neptune. If you have something to hide or need privacy and discretion, you must now make a double effort to remain unnoticed. However, if you want to promote something artistic, spiritual or psychological, this is an excellent time... Of course, the highest manifestation of such an exhibitionist trend is through a revealing dialogue with the personal or collective unconscious, which definitely will result in a growth in awareness.

    Knowing this, you are now in a suitable position to decide how these trends will be expressed in your personal life. Stellar objects do not force us to behave in a certain way, because, contrary to popular belief, they do not have an influence on us. They are only accurate indicators of our timimg, majestic mirrors our reality through synchronicity. As for us, we do have the power to decide, to a large extent, on what happens in our lives. Mercury, Chiron and the Horsehead Nebula do some interesting research, Venus and the Guitar Nebula accelerate financial and artistic issues, while Jupiter and the Witch Head Nebula calm things down and make us reflective

April 13/14:  Nebulae will play a leading role among astrological trends this weekend. To start with,  asteroid Juno is conjunct the Dumbbell Nebula (M27), squaring Saturn and Omega Centauri. The  Juno and M27 mix indicates the possibility of finding like-minded people at an intellectual level. Somehow, this means an ideological marriage, so we may expect interesting and profound conversations, as well as great attractions motivated by ideals, whether spiritual, scientific or artistic, causing a mutual admiration. This is because the Dumbbell Nebula has at its center a dying star of very high temperature, which relates to the higher mind: science, spirituality and the arts. Relationships may be particularly intense during the weekend, but they will be beyond emotional or sexual passion, they will be trascendent. Although they may have an erotic or emotional component, they are more like a friendship, as Juno is in the sign of Aquarius, emotionally distant and traditionally related to friends. It is therefore necessary to avoid triviality and emotional excesses to take advantage of this trend. But most friendly, professional or love relationships will undoubtedly be affected by this impulse that leads us to explore the ideological connections with those around.

     However, Juno is in ecliptic square (at 90°) to Saturn and the giant star cluster Omega Centauri, which represents a tensions caused by social conventions. While it is possible to chat and share in freedom, it is also possible to find strong disagreements about traditions, customs, conventions and expectations that are not met. Behind an atmosphere of freedom, many relationships may face attempts to control, whether conscious or unconscious, that may cause temporary discomfort or even break-ups or drastic and painful confrontations. This is more likely if there are previous tensions or if the limits and goals of the relationship have not been set clearly. In this sense, it may be helpful that Juno is in sextile (60°) to Uranus, which may give a positive turn to tense situations. Mutual goals may be renewed if there is the will to discuss things. But this also makes easier to break-up and to whithdraw from relationships where there is manipulation or power games. We need to drop these if we want to relate with freedom, spontaneity and mutual respect.

     Fortunately, Mercury, the planet of communication, negotiation and dialogue, is in the equinoctial point (0° Aries), in parallel with Chiron and the Horsehead Nebula. This indicates that therapeutic conversations can have good results. It is possible to address the most delicate issues and thus heal the dysfunctional corners of our relationships. But beyond therapy, this combination is excellent for research and study, as mercurial curiosity meets with Chiron's wisdom and the Horsehead Nebula tendency to highlight the occult. This famous nebula, located in the constellation of Orion, is actually a dark dust cloud located in front of a giant cloud of glowing ionized hydrogen, which serves as a bright and attractive backdrop which makes it a particularly attractive object visually. Therefore, it is an excellent day for intellectual, educational, academic activities, for reading a good book, or to find lost objects or hidden information. It is also good for health diagnoses, lab tests, to make repairs and buy tools, and of course to give and get good advice.

     On the 14th, Venus is contra parallel to Neptune, conjunct the Guitar Nebula, and at 45° from Jupiter and the Witch Head Nebula. Venus conjunct the Guitar Nebula represents either ruptures or reconciliations, as this nebula is actually an asymmetric supernova explosion in which the neutron star is moving on one direction and the cloud of debris on the opposite. This symbolizes separation, but also a great acceleration because the neutron star is apparently the fastest in our galaxy. So Venus issues, mainly related to love, art and finance, will tend to be accelerated by this trend during the weekend. Great advances in those fields can be achieved with relatively little effort. In any case, you should avoid impulsiveness (especially when spending money or making investments) as well as the tendency to emotional outbursts. A neutral attitude, moderate and thoughtful, will make things easier. Jupiter and the Witch Head Nebula indicate positive results of showing calmness, prudence and even indifference. The Witch Head is a reflection nebula, whose main characteristic is passivity and mental reflection, much needed in harsh or very energetic environments, which need objectivity, and a cool and reasoned approach.

April 8/9: Venus, the Sun and the star Eta Carinae indicate diplomatic efforts to compensate threatening and aggressive egos, while Pallas and M48 show the willingness to fix chaotic situations... The Sun and M68 help to raise self-esteem; Saturn, Vesta and the Horsehead Nebula promote an effective organization

April 8/9: This intense and hectic week starts with Venus in parallel with the Sun and opposed to Eta Carinae, one of the biggest stars in our galaxy. This represents the necessary strength to stabilize with harmony and diplomacy the explosiveness of egocentric, threatening personalities. Eta Carinae is a supergiant star, prone to constant eruptions, and is a threat in itself because when it explodes (within tens of thousands of years), it is very likely to destroy everything around it, including the terrestrial biosphere. Definitely, this process coincides with the recent threats from North Korea about nuclear war, but Venus and the Sun appear to have the strength to balance and handle the situation properly. At a personal level, try diplomacy to deal with irritable, egocentric and/or dominant people, instead of provoking confrontations.

     But there are other astrological combinations that represent the need for diplomacy beyond personal interests. Juno is in ecliptic conjunction with Supernova 1987A, in contra parallel to Mars and galaxy M49, and at 45° from Mercury. The relationship between the asteroid of commitments and the most recent supernova explosion in our galactic neighborhood reveals that many agreements and contracts will tend to break-up, sometimes in unexpected or drastic ways. This can affect many relationships, especially love or business, and this will make many marriages and societies to enter a critical phase... or simply to break-up. On the other hand, Juno can achieve new agreements if the need to harmonize is greater than the natural aggressive drive Mars. The planet of war is in parallel to galaxy M49, which represents a strong need to attract attention because of its high brightness and great gravitational power. Therefore, the best way to start a conflict personally or internationally is letting egotistic drives to stand before  collective/partnership needs. Hence the importance of not seeing things through a limited and individual scope. Instead, try to negotiate. A hard lesson in a society that glorifies the ego, but not impossible to assimilate ...or change. It's up to you!

     Juno is contra parallel to Venus and the Sun on April 9th, which can help to reduce the risk of confrontation and to soothe plaintiff egos. This combination represents fair and equitable relationships, both personally and collectively. The pursuit of equality will prevail as the week passes. Moreover, the parallel of asteroid Pallas to star cluster M48, and its sextile (60°) to Neptune indicates a good time to give some structure to confusing or chaotic situations with an effort of will. Pallas represents strategies, and M48, abundant in G-type stars, symbolizes a will that prevails. The contact with Neptune indicates where to lead this strategic deployment of force: to situations where there has been negligence, carelessness, disaster, victimization, confusion, chaos, disorganization, illness. Even if they appear difficult to solve, many situations will change for the better if there is the willingness to work on it. Do it now and you will succeed!

      The Sun in opposition to globular cluster M68 and at 45° from Neptune continues with the idea of compensating weaknesses or neglect. M68 is a very disperse cluster with a low metallicity, indicating in psychological terms a low self-esteem. The opposition of the Sun, if only for a couple of days, tends to balance this trend. So, if for some reason  feelings of inadequacy or insecurity arise, it is time to compensate them with self-assertion, a wider consciousness, a realistic outlook, emphasizing the positive side of life. We must brighten the dark corners of our existence.... or that of others as well.

    Finally, the mid-week will witness a strong activity of Saturn, which is placed at 135° from the asteroid Vesta and the Horsehead Nebula. This combination may coincide with a trend of organization and structure that can have extraordinary results. Vesta represents a strong concentration, while the Horsehead Nebula, with which Vesta is in ecliptic conjunction, tends to highlight situations, making them visible and obvious. Saturn involves practical demands and devotion to duty, so this astrological combination refers to a disciplined demonstration of personal energy, but the results are visible, tangible. Further, the level of exigence can be excessive and therefore it is not good to exaggerate in this regard, particularly in contexts where it is not needed as there is already an ongoing organization. However, Saturn is slowly separating from a contra parallel to star cluster M15, whose stars coexist in a disorganized and conflicting environment. This indicates that it is good to bring order out of chaos and restrict conflicts, putting goals to be achieved as a priority, as well as ignoring the differences between people. These can be overcome if there is discipline to focus on a common goal, despite maintaining different positions individually. There will be better times in the weeks to come for expressing independence and freedom. Nothing lasts forever! But for now, build on this momentum to achieve a better organization. It's worth the effort!

September 3/4: Many combinations between rebel galaxies, planets, supernovae, asteroids, galaxy collisions and compressed nebulae suggest a start of the week with different frequencies to connect with. Choose yours!

September 3/4: An abundance of combinations between planets, galaxies and nebulae astrological intensify the astrological traffic at the start of the week. There will be many available channels to connect  with... As always, on days like this it is wise to select the best option for what we want to experience, according to our needs. Here is a list of the main frequencies that are activated in this couple of days or even the whole week. Or you may want to use each one for something different!

     One of the most interesting is undoubtedly the conjunction of Uranus and Pallas, which in turn are in opposition to the Antennae Galaxies. This suggests a strengthened individuality, and a good time to bring out and develop plans and strategies at a personal level, outside obligations and routine work. This trend shows originality and creativity. Elsewhere in the Galactic Guide we have discussed the interesting phenomenon that is Uranus in opposition to the Antennae Galaxies, a galactic collision in the constellation Corvus. The fact that these galaxies are merging into a single one indicate the strength of the collective pull and relationships. Uranus, the planet of individuality, revolution, freedom, opposes them in several months of 2012, and hence the abundance of massive demonstrations around the planet. In any case, with Pallas, the theme is applying strategies to see what we can do individually to make this planet better in this whole collective process of change, so strong by now and the three years to come. Oh, and it also favors  visual arts, since Pallas is parallel to the Horsehead Nebula, one of the most famous and probably indicating important events and great creativity in the world of film and visual arts. Perhaps they are now filming scenes, taking photos and painting pictures that will cause sensation in the following months and years! Or maybe it is just a good time to make good plans and watch a good movie.

     Venus square Saturn and trine to Juno is a frequency that, unlike the previous one, is centered on relations.  Venus at 90° from Saturn is restrictive, so it is likely that some relationships will resent the distance. However, this mix can be positive if the limits are suitably applied in most relationships. If there is a real desire to relate, the important thing is not to be right, but to get over the distance and difficulties with diplomacy, kindness and harmony. A good time to structure the budget, however, so as to demonstrate commitment in relationships despite any obstacles or distance (emotional, ideological or otherwise) that may exist.

     Juno conjunct the Draco dwarf galaxy also lasts for almost a week and refers to the desire to balance company with the need for solitude. This can result difficult in some cases, and perhaps you'll have to confront the unconscious part of certain relationships. In any case it is good to do a thorough analysis of many of them. The Draco dwarf galaxy is a dwarf satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, and contains a large amount of dark matter. Hence the transit of Juno, the relations specialist, encouraging psychoanalytic exploration. The Draco Dwarf is very difficult to observe and therefore only recently discovered, that's why it represents isolation. Therefore, some couples, families, friends and associations will feel the need to whether distance themselves from the world, or to allow for a few days an individual spacefor everyone, quite important for each partner or team member.

     Mercury in parallel to the galaxy M60, conjunct the Vela Supernova, in contra parallel to Neptune. This trend indicates extraordinary strengthening of the power of thought, although it is likely to last for only a few hours or at most  a couple of days. The galaxy M60 is giant, so huge that the Mercury parallel depicts very strong concepts, words and ideas. Be careful with what you say, because excess energy can cause damage or a different effect than expected. But this combination is extremely creative, and this power may be combined with  the Vela supernova, suggesting a profound vision of reality, and Neptune, which governs ESP and creative imagination. Is it a great time to let our minds and our actions flow without much structure or daily control, because their tendency is towards the transcendent. If you see too much chaos in your daily routine, it means you are unconsciously connected with this frequency, and it is advisable to be flexible ... and seeing things from a different angle. Let your unconscious speak: dreams can be intense and revealing ...

     Mars in contra parallel to galaxy M91, sextile to Pluto and trine to Chiron. This theme is about power and transformation, which can be useful in the context of physical training, rehabilitation, medical applications and research , political activities , and of course for wrestling sessions... But on the other hand, it tends to generate a lot of opposition and cause intense confrontations and futile power games. If you feel a strong desire for activity or a strong anger, this frequency may have connected with any of the planets in your astrological birth chart. In that case, you'll have to control this impulse. Above all, avoid conflicts: Mars is war-like, and M91 is a galaxy that goes in an opposite direction to the rest of his companions in the Virgo cluster, indicating a tendency to contradict and oppose everyone in open rebellion to the collective trend. The results can be disastrous and violent in some cases. But if channeled into major challenges, this is a boost if you have goals to reach and need some extra energy... It is also useful for filling all kinds of shortcomings, especially on the diet, compensating with any adequate nutrients that are missing from the body.

Mercury retrograde conjunct star cluster M67 revives relationships and projects of the past; Mars, Juno and the Horsehead Nebula intensify social life

     Once again, Mercury, the planet of communication, begins a retrograde period, this time in the zodiacal sign of Leo and in ecliptic conjunction with star cluster M67. While the entire retrograde period will last until August 8th, 2012, the fact that Mercury is stationary in the same zodiacal degree of M67 is highly significant. This combination shows the important issues to work on the days and weeks ahead. M67 is a very old star cluster in the constellation of Cancer: its age is about 3 billion years (!) and therefore represents past issues, probably unresolved relationships or unfulfilled desires. No wonder it can revive old passions or relationships in which something was pending, no matter how long ago. In fact, the relationships that become important again can bring many positive consequences.

     Even those relations in which there was a disturbing contact in the past may benefit at this time of dialogue and / or confrontations that will eventually work things out. We will be able to close cycles and start another chapter of our lives. The same is true of creative projects that were suspended, neglected, or postponed for various reasons, as it was not their time. But now it's time to dust off and reassess old projects, uncovering the great possibilities available in the present and immediate future. Hence, we don´t need to search very far for opportunities: we may have good resources and relationships available close to us. Bring them to the present time and put them to work within the three weeks to come!


     On the other hand, Mars is in parallel to the Horsehead Nebula, conjunct the quintet of galaxies HCG 68 and at 45° of Juno. This combination affects relationships and social life. Mars is placed in a highly social mood by its conjunction with this "galaxy clique" located in the constellation Canes Venatici. This will make us invest much energy in activities that involve relationships, whether in friendship, love, family, work or community. The Horsehead Nebula, which tends to highlight things, also indicates events, shows, meetings, rallies, demosntrations, exhibitions full of people, where things happen in front of everybody... (If you want to hide something, by all means avoid socializing). There will be many events in which to participate, but it will be necessary to select those that interest us most to really enjoy sharing with others. Commitments without a real affinity or communion, can result in tensions and the feeling of having wasted time and personal efforts. But if we participate with like-minded people, with common goals and using the relationship for a definite purpose, then the reward is definitely a sense of communion, integration, acceptance.

     Saturn is at 135° from minor planet Ceres and the Hyades. This, on the other hand, refers to an administrative and material theme. This combination refers to productive work, for which it is necessary to display a good organization. The lack of structure and control can end up causing blockages and inadequate results. But an effort that is well planned and carried out with a bit of commitment and discipline, can lead to excellent results and satisfaction. Psychologically, this combination refers to control our desires and impulses, to release our attachments to things, to cut dependencies on food, substances or people. It is excellent for starting diets and implementing health and nutrition programs!

June 26th: Juno in parallel to the Horsehead Nebula highlights the current state of our relationships, bringing diplomacy, creativity, art, controversy, beauty and more

June 26th: asteroid Juno is in parallel with the Horsehead Nebula. The asteroid of relationships is at the same declination of one of the most spectacular nebulae in the constellation Orion. The Horsehead Nebula or B33 is a dark nebula that is dramatically highlighted by a background illuminated by the star Zeta Orionis or Alnitak. Therefore, one of its qualities is precisely to highlight, to underline, to emphasize and exhibit, to show.... making things evident. This can be done in various ways, depending on which planet transits through this great cosmic backdrop. In this case, the guest to this wonderful cosmic set is Juno, the asteroid of relationships, couples, marriage, who has to some extent the same trends of Venus about the need to be emotionally fulfilled through others: family, friends, relatives...social life.


     Therefore, it is quite possible that during this week the signals which indicate the state of our emotional life wil be brought to light. It is appropriate to review our ties to others and find out what is stable and what should be changed. Unmet needs in relationships will be exposed, and this will inevitably lead to adjustments in relationships of all kinds. On the other hand, positive connections between people also tend to be intensified, and that reflects many moments of fulfillment in marriage, family, friendship, business associations, any partnerships with people. This is fantastic, but it is also true that if there are relationships that need to be kept hidden or should be handled with discretion, these days they are at risk of being exposed. Implement extreme cautions then!

     At an international level,  relationships between various political figures will also be exposed, which obviously will generate controversy. The focus of marriage (Juno) prevails, there will be couples and weddings generating lots to talk about, and of course there will be progress and resistance to homosexual marriage, which will also probably be in the news too. Juno, however, represents the art of diplomacy, which is quite welcome in these times when Saturn stationary on the hypergiant star Eta Carina, as there may be excessive self-centered, aggressive reactions in the international community. Juno and the Horsehead Nebula highlight the possibility of reaching agreements, to talk, to dialogue... Let's hope Juno will prevail!

      Personally, there are other ways to direct this combination Juno / Horsehead. Juno stands out for her social skills: she is the perfect hostess. This can favor greaty social events, although rather intimate ones, but do not rule out large crowds as well. Juno is also the artistic talent that can not fail to be highlighted with such an elegant cosmic backdrop. Juno favors dramatic arts, music, theater and dance, but this combination has definitely an impressive visual impact, so graphics are very important in artistic creation. We can expected good, memorable shows this couple of weeks... You can also see great creativity flowing in any rehearsal or artistic activity. Finally, Juno represents the personal wardrobe, haircut and grooming, to which you can do an update. That will highlight you in a positive way, lifting your mood, either to raise self-esteem or to please someone special.

June 24th: the Uranus / Pluto square reflects the onset of an era of profound changes in society: Mars, Juno and galaxy M51 reveal a balance between different types of relationships

June 24th: Uranus square Pluto. This combination, although exact today, represents a process of social renewal of large proportions spanning several years. In this case, this is the first phase of a cycle of deep changes that goes until the year 2015. Between now and then, Uranus and Pluto will be placed seven times at 90° from each other. Their effect is repeated and prolonged, and that will make these years the "new Sixties" with a very dynamic social renewal trend, often disruptive, but, at most times, regenerative. However, these same planets suggest much destruction, but it is important to flow with the regenerative tendencies and not resist them. In life there is no more constant than the constant change, which is accentuated in times like this, regenerative and destructive at once, breaking schemes to bring out other new.

       We human beings during these four years will be reinventing our formulas of life to survive in our only home: Earth. Whoever does not adapt to change, perishes: it is a natural law. Of course, there will be articles and comments in the Galactic Guide about this little publicized phenomenon and yet of great importance, as we're all involved in it ... Do not miss them! Personally, today, you should see the signs of  the change and detect where it comes from in your present reality. See where you are located, and where you choose to move your energy in general. This, in order to be able to turn around and move to the next level. Powered with consciousness, this aspect can be very positive too, bringing good new things to our lives!

      On the other hand, Mars is conjunct the Whirlpool Galaxy (M51) and  contra parallel to Juno and the Horsehead Nebula. This trend is more focused on the present and as such, it will be strong for about 48 hours, maybe some more. Its effect is on relationships and shows a process of balance between personal relationships and work, among family and friends, between partners and customers ... Most likely, it will be necessary to divide our time in a balanced manner to meet both the demands of our projects as well as the needs of our social and emotional life. The combination Mars/M51 can be highly productive in terms of work, though perhaps it is too energetic. This is why sometimes it will take time and resources from more personal relationships. It is important therefore to split adequately our time between the different types of relationships that we have...

     The thing to avoid is emotional drama, which can be emphasized by Juno in Scorpio and the Horsehead Nebula. The reluctance to surrender to this balance can be counterproductive and lead to tensions and even conflicts. This is especially true in cases of couples where they can make resentment sprout. No doubt it is best to try to experience this trend on the positive side, as with astrological combinations like this, unity is strength. Don't lose it!

May 28th: Mercury transits the Hyades cluster intensifying desires and emotions; the Sun, Uranus and the Black Eye Galaxy (M64) emphasize and protect individuality

May 28th: Mercury conjunct the Hyades cluster and at 135° from Saturn indicates the need to give a concrete and structured shape to our desires and aspirations. We must make the effort; just taking a contemplative attitude can be frustrating, as we would watch passively all the difficulties and obstacles in our way. It is best to take a practical attitude and start somewhere to accomplish our tasks. Although difficult, this challenge can give very good results. Mercury makes later in the course of the day, a conjunction with the star Aldebaran and is at 150° from Pluto, a combination with more or less the same meaning as the Hyades trend. Aldebaran is one of the most famous stars in the astrological tradition, due to its red glow that can be appreciated with the naked eye. It is actually a giant orange star of type K which stimulates much creativity, emotions and desire. Therefore, it is important to use this combination in a creative way, making necessary changes and above all, getting rid of what we do not need, leaving room for new things. It also makes great emphasis on sexuality. Otherwise, if we let desire and emotions flow without control this trend can lead to scenes of possessiveness, jealousy and power struggles. Mercury also makes a square to Chiron, indicating that desires and emotions can interfere with the clarity of our mind and hinder the healing or learning process.
